Subtask 24-21-43-941-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
(2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 24-21-43-010-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

(c) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

C. Cleaning of the IDG Cables
(2) Dry the IDG cables with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
4. ProcedureWARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(1) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with cleaning fluid (Material No.V01-002) to clean the IDG cables. (2) Dry the IDG cables with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
Subtask 24-21-43-210-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Visual Examination of the IDG Cables
(1) Examine the connectors to see if they are broken or if they have cracks.
(2) Examine the cables to see if they are burned, frayed, fused, loose or chafed.
(3) Examine the terminal lugs to see if they are broken, loose or if they have cracks.
(4) If the given items show signs of damage or wear, for inspection limits and repairs refer to:

Subtask 24-21-43-220-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Examine the connectors to see if they are broken or if they have cracks.
(2) Examine the cables to see if they are burned, frayed, fused, loose or chafed.

B. Check of the Clearance around the IDG Cable Assembly
(1) Make sure that there is a minimum clearance of 5.00 mm (0.20 in.) between the IDG cable assembly and the adjacent hardware.
5. Close-up(1) Make sure that there is a minimum clearance of 5.00 mm (0.20 in.) between the IDG cable assembly and the adjacent hardware.
Subtask 24-21-43-410-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(c) Remove the access platform(s).
(d) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
