B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 6M (20 FT) in position at zone 230.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 6M (20 FT) in position at zone 230.

A. Removal of the Antenna
(2) Remove the screws (1) from the antenna (2).
(3) Lift the antenna (2) until you can see the electrical connector (3) and the coaxial connectors (4).
(5) Disconnect the electrical connector (3) and the coaxial connectors (4) from the antenna (2).
(6) Remove the three O-rings (5).
(8) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(9) Remove the antenna (2).
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THE ANTENNA. THE ANTENNA WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 12 KG (26 LBS). IF YOU DO NOT HOLD IT CORRECTLY, IT CAN FALL AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Remove the sealant from the screw heads with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC. (2) Remove the screws (1) from the antenna (2).
(3) Lift the antenna (2) until you can see the electrical connector (3) and the coaxial connectors (4).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(4) Remove and discard the lockwire from the coaxial connectors (4). (5) Disconnect the electrical connector (3) and the coaxial connectors (4) from the antenna (2).
(6) Remove the three O-rings (5).
NOTE: If the O-rings are in good condition, you can keep them for the subsequent installation.
(7) Apply TAPE - MASKING around the electrical connector (3) and attach it to the fuselage. (8) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(9) Remove the antenna (2).
