     (c) Cracked hub
     (d) Blisters

     (a) Make sure that there are no hard points when the pulleys turn.
     (b) Make sure that the cable does not skid on the pulleys.
     (c) Make sure that the eccentricity agrees with the values shown in this table:
PULLEY MINOR DIAMETER
MAX. ECCENTRICITY AT TOP OF GROOVE
MAX. ECCENTRICITY AT BOTTOM OF GROOVE
Less than or equal to 30 mm (1.181 in.)
0.30 mm (0.012 in.)
0.15 mm (0.006 in.)
From 30 mm (1.181 in.) to less than 80 mm (3.150 in.)
0.40 mm (0.016 in.)
0.20 mm (0.008 in.)
More than or equal to 80 mm (3.150 in.)
0.50 mm (0.020 in.)
0.20 mm (0.008 in.)
   (3) Do an inspection of the pulleys after the run-out.
     (a) For each turn of the pulley, make sure that the sideways run-out is not more than:
  • 0.25 mm (0.0098 in.) for pulleys with a diameter less than 80 mm (3.150 in.)
