A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
(2) On the ENG section of the maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position of the work area.
(2) Get access to the area where you must remove the label, stencil, transfer or decal markings.

C. Cleaning of the Repair Area
4. ProcedureWARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(1) Clean the repair area with a clean lint free cloth (Material No.V02-099) and the solvent (Material No.V01-438) or solvent (Material No.V01-457) . Remove the solvent with a clean lint free cloth (Material No.V02-099) before the solvent becomes dry. Subtask 11-24-71-020-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of Label, Stencil, Transfer or Decal Markings
(a) Put High temperature glass cloth tape (Material No.V02-050) around the edge of the marking.
(b) Put09EBA1 Methylene Chloride / Phenolic Stripper-General Use Process - - on the surface of the marking with an BRUSH - ACID. Let the stripper solution stay on the surface for 15 to 20 minutes. Brush the stripper solution as necessary to let clean solution touch the marking.
(c) Apply more09EBA1 Methylene Chloride / Phenolic Stripper-General Use Process - - on the surface to loosen any remaining marking.
(d) Remove the09EBA1 Methylene Chloride / Phenolic Stripper-General Use Process - - from the surface with a clean lint free cloth (Material No.V02-099) wet with distilled or deionized water (Material No.V01-201) . Dry the area with a clean lint free cloth (Material No.V02-099) .
(e) Remove the masking tape (Material No.V02-178) .
(f) Clean the area with a clean lint free cloth (Material No.V02-099) made moist with solvent (Material No.V01-438) or solvent (Material No.V01-457) . Remove the solvent with a clean lint free cloth (Material No.V02-099) before solvent becomes dry.
WARNING:
WEAR APPLICABLE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) WHEN YOU DO THIS TASK. BEFORE YOU USE PPE, READ, UNDERSTAND AND OBEY ALL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ITS USE. THESE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MANUFACTURER, YOUR EMPLOYER AND GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS. YOU CAN GET INJURED IF YOU DO NOT USE PPE. GET INSTRUCTIONS FROM YOUR EMPLOYER ON WHICH PPE IS NECESSARY.

CAUTION:
WEAR LINT FREE COTTON GLOVES WHEN YOU TOUCH THE CLEAN OR TREATED SURFACES. BARE HANDS CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET TURCO 5351 STRIPPER SOLUTION DRY ON THE SURFACE.
(1) Remove the marking with waterproof silicon carbide (Material No.V05-020) . If necessary, use a SPATULA - PLASTIC to remove the remaining marking. NOTE: Do not remove the paint below the marking.
(2) If you cannot remove the marking easily do the following: (a) Put High temperature glass cloth tape (Material No.V02-050) around the edge of the marking.
