A. Painting
NOTE: The aluminum cover patches, Adhesive Tape-Hoisting points PVC Disks - (Material No.05TNB1) , the PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) cover patches and Adhesive Deco. Film-Marking - External Structure (Material No.05VGM3) or Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) can be used as protection at the hoisting point locations (refer to Para. B).
   (1) Before you install the PVC cover patches:
     (a) Paint the patch surface with Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) of the same color as the adjacent area (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-003).
     (b) Let the paint dry.
   (2) Before you install Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) :
     (a) Apply the chromate treatment (alodine) with Surface Pretreatment-Light Alloys Chemical Conversion Yellow - (Material No.10ABC1) on the aluminum foil surface.
     (b) Let the paint dry.

B. Installation of the Hoisting-Point Cover Patches
   (1) For the location of the hoisting-point cover patches, refer to:
     (a) AIPC 11-21-52- for the doors
     (b)
AIPC 11-21-53- for the fuselage
     (c)

     (e)
AIPC 11-25-55- for the rudder.
   (2) Clean the skin surface around the hoisting points as follows:
     (a) Clean the skin surface with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.
14SBA1) soaked in Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to remove all the signs of dirt.
     (b) Do this cleaning operation until the cloth you use is clean.
   (3) Do the surface reactivation around the hoisting-point skin area as follows:
     (a) If necessary, remove the remaining varnish footprint of the used hoisting-point cover patches with PAPER - ABRASIVE (GRADE 320).
     (b) Before you install the hoisting-point cover patches, make the surface matt with Abrasive-- Scotch Brite Pads - (Material No.14FAB1) .
     (c) Stop the reactivation procedure when the skin surface is sufficiently matt. Be careful not to remove or cause damage to the first protection layer.
NOTE: It is possible to rub a dry surface if a vacuum cleaning device is available to remove the dust from the surface that you rubbed.
     (d) Flush the surfaces that you rubbed with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) then clean them with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) before the cleaning agent dries.
   (4) Install the new cover patches with the SQUEEGEE on the hoisting points to prevent the air entrapment and the wrinkles:
     (a) For the aluminum vertical-stabilizer leading-edge, install the aluminum cover patches.
     (b) For all the other locations, install the PVC cover patches, Adhesive Deco. Film-Marking - External Structure (Material No.05VGM3) , Adhesive Tape-Hoisting points PVC Disks - (Material No.05TNB1) or Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) .
