A. Cleaning of the Contact Surfaces
(1) Clean the contact surface of the placard with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) soaked in Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-Non structural use - - (Material No.08BPA1) .
4. Procedure(1) Clean the contact surface of the placard with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) soaked in Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-Non structural use - - (Material No.08BPA1) .

A. Installation of the Placard
(2) Install the placard and make sure that it is correctly bonded.
(3) Apply TAPE - MASKING or PAPER - MASKING on the area adjacent to the decal location.
(4) Apply a cross coat of Varnish Polyurethane-Low VOC - External Structure (Material No.04SBA3) on all external functional and maintenance markings with a BRUSH - BRISTLED, SOFT.
5. Close-upNOTE: This installation procedure only applies to plate bonding. To know if you must bond or rivet the plate, refer to the Standard Manual.
(1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) or Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the support with a BRUSH - BRISTLED, SOFT. (2) Install the placard and make sure that it is correctly bonded.
(3) Apply TAPE - MASKING or PAPER - MASKING on the area adjacent to the decal location.
(4) Apply a cross coat of Varnish Polyurethane-Low VOC - External Structure (Material No.04SBA3) on all external functional and maintenance markings with a BRUSH - BRISTLED, SOFT.
NOTE: This procedure is recommended for better long-time bonding of the labels on the external surfaces.
NOTE: The labels must dry for 24 hours minimum at room temperature before you apply the varnish.
(5) Remove the unwanted compound. Subtask 11-00-00-942-060-A
A. Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
