A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are de-energized.
(2) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(3) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch is in the OFF position.
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the systems while you remove the protective devices from the aircraft.
(5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position near the aircraft.

Remove the 98A10001013000 COVER-TOTAL TEMP SENSOR.

(2) Protection of the 3 pitot probes

Remove the 98A10001005000 COVER-PITOT PROBE.

(3) Protection of the 3 angle-of-attack sensors

Remove the 98A10001500000 COVER-SLIP ON,ANGLE OF ATTACK SENSOR.

(4) Protection of the 6 static probes

Remove the 98D10103500001 COVER-STATIC PROBE.

(5) Protection of the 2 ice detection probes

Remove the 98D10103501000 COVER - ICE DETECTION PROBE.

Remove the HIX6002 HALF PLUG, RIGHT-THRUST REVERSER and HIX6003 HALF PLUG, LEFT-THRUST REVERSER.
