A. General
(1) You must put the aircraft systems in the "Flight with Gear Down" configuration before you can do such a flight.

4. Procedure
Subtask 05-59-32-860-050-A

A. Put the Aircraft Systems in the "Flight with Gear Down" Configuration
(1) Get access to the avionics compartment.
(a) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the access door 824.
(b) Open the access door 824.
(2) In the avionics compartment, on the panel 188VU:

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(a) Remove the lockwire from the safety cover of the L/G DOWN VMO/MMO SELECTION switch 22FP.
(b) Set the L/G DOWN VMO/MMO SELECTION switch 22FP to L/G DOWN.

5. Close-up

A. Close-Up
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access door 824.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Make an entry in the log book to tell the crew that :

the L/G DOWN VMO/MMO SELECTION switch is at L/G DOWN.
