1. General
A. Description
The lavatory lighting system consists of a fluorescent lamp, an integrated ballast unit and a halogen lamp installed in each lavatory.
The POWER LAV membrane switch on forward attendant panel 120RH controls the power for the fluorescent lamps.
A microswitch is installed in each lavatory door frame and controls the halogen lamp and the illumination level of the fluorescent tube.
The lavatory lighting system has a fluorescent lamp, an integrated ballast unit and a mirror light installed in each lavatory.
The MAIN LIGHT ON/OFF button on Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH controls the power for the fluorescent lamps.
A microswitch is installed in each lavatory door frame and controls the mirror light and the lighting level of the fluorescent tube.
The Spaceflex lavatory has:
A microswitch is installed in each lavatory door frame that controls the lavatory lights and the lighting level of the CLEDUs.
The Smart lavatory has:
A microswitch is installed in each lavatory door frame that controls the lavatory lights and the lighting level of the CLEDUs.

3. System Description
The lavatory lighting system has:

- A fluorescent lamp with a ballast unit installed above the lavatory door in each lavatory.
- A halogen lamp installed adjacent to the lavatory mirror in each lavatory.
- A microswitch installed at each lavatory door frame. The microswitch is part of the lavatory lighted signs system (Ref. AMM D/O 33-26-00-00).
- A fluorescent lamp with a ballast unit installed above the lavatory door in each lavatory.
- A mirror light installed adjacent to the lavatory mirror in each lavatory.
- A microswitch installed at each lavatory door frame. The microswitch is part of the lavatory lighted signs system (Ref. AMM D/O 33-26-00-00).
- CLEDU installed above the lavatory door
- Wash Table light installed below the lavatory mirror
- Floor light (if installed) installed at the floor level below wash table cabinet
- A microswitch installed at each lavatory door frame. The microswitch is part of the lavatory lighted signs system (Ref. AMM D/O 33-26-00-00).
- CLEDU installed above the lavatory door
- Wash Table light installed above the baby nursing table
- Floor light (if installed) installed at the floor level below wash table cabinet
- Ceiling light installed above the mirror
- Mirror light installed beside the mirror
- A microswitch installed at each lavatory door frame. The microswitch is part of the lavatory lighted signs system (Ref. AMM D/O 33-26-00-00).
4. Power Supply
The 115VAC from busbar 214XP supplies the fluorescent lamps through circuit breaker 1LQ and power control relay 2LQ. The pushbutton membrane-switch POWER LAV, on forward attendant panel 120RH, controls the power supply for the fluorescent lamps.
The 115VAC from busbar 214XP supplies fluorescent lamps 10LQ with the integrated ballast units and mirror light 22LQ through circuit breaker 1LQ and power control relay 21LQ. The MAIN LIGHT ON/OFF button on FAP 120RH controls the power supply for the fluorescent lamps and the mirror light.
The 115VAC from busbar 214XP is supplied to the Spaceflex lavatory lighting system through circuit breaker 1LQ and 11WJ. The following lights are supplied:
The 28VDC from busbar 208PP supplies the mirror lights through circuit breakers 1WJ, 11WJ and the door microswitches (Ref. AMM D/O 33-26-00-00).
** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL The 115VAC from busbar 214XP supplies the fluorescent lamps through circuit breaker 1LQ and power control relay 2LQ. The pushbutton membrane-switch POWER LAV, on forward attendant panel 120RH, controls the power supply for the fluorescent lamps.
The 115VAC from busbar 214XP supplies fluorescent lamps 10LQ with the integrated ballast units and mirror light 22LQ through circuit breaker 1LQ and power control relay 21LQ. The MAIN LIGHT ON/OFF button on FAP 120RH controls the power supply for the fluorescent lamps and the mirror light.
The 115VAC from busbar 214XP is supplied to the Spaceflex lavatory lighting system through circuit breaker 1LQ and 11WJ. The following lights are supplied:
- CLEDU 10LQ*
- Floor lights 53LQ and 55LQ
- Wash Table lights 54LQ and 56LQ
- CLEDU 10LQ*
- Floor light 63LQ107 (if installed)
- Wash Table lights 61LQ107, 61LQ109, 61LQ110, 61LQ111 and 61LQ112
- Mirror lights 62LQ107, 62LQ109, 62LQ110, 62LQ111 and 62LQ112
- Ceiling lights 60LQ107, 60LQ109, 60LQ110, 60LQ111 and 60LQ112
The 28VDC from busbar 208PP supplies the mirror lights through circuit breakers 1WJ, 11WJ and the door microswitches (Ref. AMM D/O 33-26-00-00).
5. Operation
A. Component Operation
The system is supplied with power when the busbars are energized and circuit breakers 1LQ, 1WJ and 11WJ are closed.
With the door microswitch in the FREE position the halogen lamp is disconnected from the 28VDC. The DIM 1 (50 %) input of the ballast unit is supplied with 28VDC.

With the door microswitch in the FREE position the mirror light is disconnected from the 28VDC. The DIM 1 (50 %) input of the ballast unit is supplied with 28VDC.
The Spaceflex lavatory system is supplied with power when the busbars are energized and circuit breakers 1LQ and 11WJ are closed.
With the door microswitch in the FREE position the CLEDUs, the washtable lights and the floor lights are on.
The Smart lavatory system is supplied with power when the busbars are energized and circuit breakers 1LQ and 11WJ are closed.
With the door microswitch in the FREE position the CLEDUs, the washtable lights and the floor light (if installed) are on.

With the door microswitch in the FREE position the CLEDUs, the washtable lights and the floor light (if installed) are on.
(1) When the switch POWER LAV on forward attendant panel 120RH is pushed relay 2LQ energizes. Each lavatory ballast unit is supplied with 115VAC and the fluorescent lamp comes on with 50 % intensity.
(2) When the MAIN LIGHT ON/OFF button on FAP 120RH is set to ON, each lavatory ballast unit is supplied with 115VAC and the fluorescent lamp comes on with 50% intensity.
With the LAV MAINT button on FAP 120RH, you can control the light in the lavatories. The fluorescent lamps in the lavatories come on with 100% intensity (bright) when the LAV MAINT button is pushed.
With the LAV MAINT button on FAP 120RH, you can control the light in the lavatories. The fluorescent lamps in the lavatories come on with 100% intensity (bright) when the LAV MAINT button is pushed.
(3) When the lavatory door is locked, the related door microswitch changes over to the ENGAGED position and the halogen lamp is supplied with 28VDC. The 28VDC is disconnected from the DIM 1 input of the ballast unit and the fluorescent lamp illuminates with 100 % intensity.
(4) When the lavatory door is locked, the related door microswitch changes over to the ENGAGED position and the mirror light is supplied with 28VDC. The 28VDC is disconnected from the DIM 1 input of the ballast unit and the fluorescent lamp illuminates with 100 % intensity.
(5) When the Spaceflex lavatory door is locked, the related door microswitch changes over to the ENGAGED position and the CLEDU comes on with 100% intensity. The wash table and the floor lights stays on.
(6) When the Smart lavatory door is locked, the related door microswitch changes over to the ENGAGED position and the CLEDU comes on with 100% intensity. The ceiling and mirror lights come on. The wash table and the floor lights stay on.
(7) The integral light under the POWER LAV membrane switch foil (on forward attendant panel 120RH) comes on when the membrane switch is initially pushed.
When the membrane switch is pushed again, the fluorescent lamps in the lavatory go off. Also the integral light under the POWER LAV membrane switch foil goes off.

(8) The light in the lavatories is on when the LIGHTS MAIN ON/OFF button on FAP 120RH is pushed to ON.
When the button is pushed to OFF, the lights in the lavatories are off.
Through the LAV MAINT button on the FAP the light in the lavatories can be controlled. As long as the LAV MAINT button is not activated, the light in the lavatories is dimmed. The light switches to bright, when the LAV MAINT button is pushed.

(9) Push the LIGHTS MAIN ON/OFF button on FAP 120RH, and make sure that the CLEDU in the spaceflex lavatory comes on with 50% intensity.
The LAV MAINT button on FAP 120RH controls the lights in the spaceflex lavatory. If you do not push the LAV MAINT button, the CLEDU in the spaceflex lavatory stays on with 50% intensity. The CLEDU in the spaceflex lavatory comes on with 100% intensity when you push the LAV MAINT button.
The LAV MAINT button on FAP 120RH controls the lights in the spaceflex lavatory. If you do not push the LAV MAINT button, the CLEDU in the spaceflex lavatory stays on with 50% intensity. The CLEDU in the spaceflex lavatory comes on with 100% intensity when you push the LAV MAINT button.
(10) CLEDU in the Smart lavatory goes off, wash table light and floor light (if installed) stay on, all other lights stay off when the LIGHTS MAIN ON/OFF button on FAP 120RH is pushed to ON.
Through the LAV MAINT button on the FAP 120RH the lights in the Smart lavatory can be controlled. As long as the LAV MAINT button is not activated, the CLEDU is off, the wash table and floor lights (if installed) are on and the ceiling and mirror lights are off. The CLEDU comes on, when the LAV MAINT button is pushed.
Through the LAV MAINT button on the FAP 120RH the lights in the Smart lavatory can be controlled. As long as the LAV MAINT button is not activated, the CLEDU is off, the wash table and floor lights (if installed) are on and the ceiling and mirror lights are off. The CLEDU comes on, when the LAV MAINT button is pushed.
(11) All fluorescent lights go off when the membrane switch LIGHT MAIN OFF on forward attendant panel 120RH is pushed. Other systems are also switched off with this membrane switch at the same time.
(12) All fluorescent lamps go off when the MAIN LIGHT ON/OFF button on FAP 120RH is pushed. Other systems are also go off at the same time.
(13) CLEDU in the Spaceflex lavatory comes on when the LIGHTS MAIN ON/OFF button on FAP 120RH is pushed. The wash table and floor lights stay on.
(14) CLEDU in the Smart lavatory comes on when the LIGHTS MAIN ON/OFF button on FAP 120RH is pushed. The wash table and floor lights (if installed) stay on.
