2. General data to do a check of the powerplant resistance
A. The recommended way to check a resistance of the component is to measure the resistance of both channel A and B components, and to compare the two values. Resistance between channels A and B should be within 15 per cent.
B. To accurately measure the resistance of a thermocouple, the average of two reading has to be calculated. The ohmmeter leads should be reversed after the first measurement in order to obtain the proper average.
C. When you try to measure with accuracy a low resistance component, you must not forget to substract the resistance of the ohmmeter test leads.
