The following engine intermix configurations are approved:

Configuration 1:
- On one side: CFM 56-5A1 engine.
- On the other side: CFM 56-5A1/F engine.
NOTE:
This engine intermix configuration is cancelled by the installation of ECU standard 5AI on both engines.
Configuration 2:
- On one side: CFM 56-5A4 engine.
- On the other side: CFM 56-5A4/F engine.
NOTE:
This engine intermix configuration is cancelled by the installation of ECU standard 5AI on both engines.
Configuration 3:
- On one side: CFM 56-5A5 engine.
- On the other side: CFM 56-5A5/F engine.
NOTE:
This engine intermix configuration is cancelled by the installation of ECU standard 5AI on both engines.
Configuration 4:
- On one side: CFM 56-5A1 or CFM 56-5A1/F engine with ECU standard 5AI/5AI+.
- On the other side: CFM 56-5A1/F engine with ECU standard 5AH/5AH+ or previous standard.
Configuration 5:
- On one side: CFM 56-5A3 engine with ECU standard 5AI/5AI+.
- On the other side: CFM 56-5A3 engine with ECU standard 5AH/5AH+ or previous standard.
Configuration 6:
- On one side: CFM 56-5A4 or CFM 56-5A4/F engine with ECU standard 5AI/5AI+.
- On the other side: CFM 56-5A4 or CFM 56-5A4/F engine with ECU standard 5AH/5AH+ or previous standard.
Configuration 7:
- On one side: CFM 56-5A5 or CFM 56-5A5/F engine with ECU standard 5AI/5AI+.
- On the other side: CFM 56-5A5 or CFM 56-5A5/F engine with ECU standard 5AH/5AH+ or previous standard.
