1. Reason for the Job
This procedure gives the instructions to do a FOD check of the engine starting system in the event of a FOD event up-stream at the ECS.

A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring and to stop the electrical supply to the Electronic Engine Control (EEC)
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-832).
4. Procedure
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 80-11-00-210-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. FOD Inspection of the Engine Starting System After ECS Event
   (1) Remove the starter air control valve (Ref. AMM TASK 80-11-03-000-801).
   (2) Remove the lower starter air duct (Ref. AMM TASK 80-11-49-000-802).
   (3) Inspect the starter air control valve, lower starter air duct and starter inlet:
     (a) If FOD or damage are present in the valve, duct or starter, replace the starter air valve (Ref. AMM TASK 80-11-03-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 80-11-03-400-801).
     (b) If FOD or damage are present in the valve, duct or starter, replace the starter (Ref. AMM TASK 80-11-01-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 80-11-01-400-801).
     (c) If FOD or damage are present in the duct, do a check of the duct (Ref. AMM TASK 80-11-00-210-801).
     (d) If there are no FOD or damage to the valve, duct or starter, go to the next step.
   (4) Install the lower starter air duct (Ref. AMM TASK 80-11-49-400-802).
   (5) Install the starter air control valve (Ref. AMM TASK 80-11-03-400-801).
