A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

4. Procedure
Subtask 79-33-16-110-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Clean the No. 4 bearing pressure transducer.
WARNING: DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
  • FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
  • GET MEDICAL AID.
   (1) Remove the applicable covers/caps/plugs from the openings.
   (2) Make a clear Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) moist with V01-124Isopropyl Alcohol, Technical grade. Use the cloth to clean the No. 4 bearing pressure transducer mounting bracket or the far case flange.

B. Inspection of the Transducer Mounting Bracket:
F No. 4 Bearing Pressure Transducer ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Make sure that the mounting bracket has no cracks or damage.
   (2) For Pre SB 71-0222, make sure that the self-locking clipnuts are safetied to the mounting bracket.

WARNING: DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME. FLUSH THE OIL FROM YOUR SKIN WITH WATER. THE OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN GO THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND INTO YOUR BODY.
C. Installation of the No. 4 bearing pressure transducer.
F No. 4 Bearing Pressure Transducer ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

PRE SB 71-0222

   (1) Align the bolt holes in the transducer flange with the threaded holes in the clipnuts of the bracket.
   (2) Lubricate the threads on the bolts (2) with clean V10-077lubricant (engine oil) and attach the No. 4 bearing pressure transducer to the bracket with the bolts.
   (3) TORQUE the bolts to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN ) T (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013)

   (4) Align the bolt holes in the transducer flange with the holes in the bracket.
   (5) Lubricate the threads on the bolts (2) with clean V10-077lubricant (engine oil) and attach the No. 4 bearing pressure transducer to the bracket with the bolts and double hex self-locking nuts.
   (6) TORQUE the bolts to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN ) T (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).

D. Install the oil tube.
F No. 4 Bearing Pressure Transducer ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Connect the tube (4) to the transducer.
   (2) TORQUE the tube coupling nut to between 177 and 159 lbf.in (2.00 and 1.80 m.daN ) T (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013)
   (3) Safety the nut to the bracket with the lockwire (Material No.V02-147)
   (4) Connect the electrical connector 4005EN-A (1) to the transducer

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010)

Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 79-33-16-790-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Do this test:
   (1) Do an idle leak check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-012).
   (2) Do an operational test of the EIU (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-710-042). Then on the CFDS see if there are faults concerning No. 4 bearing pressure transducer.
