3. Job Set-up
Subtask 79-32-16-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010)

C. Remove the covers/caps/plugs from the openings, the electrical connector and the electrical receptacle.

D. Clean components:
   (1) Clean the removed components and the components to which they were attached.
     (a) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with cleaning fluid (Material No.V01-002) to clean the following components:
the scavenge oil filter (4),
the scavenge oil temperature thermocouple (2).
   (2) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) to make the above components dry.
4. Procedure
Subtask 79-32-16-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the scavenge oil temperature thermocouple:
   (1) Install the scavenge oil temperature thermocouple (2) to the scavenge oil filter (4)
     (a) Install a new AIPC 79-32-16-80-020 SEAL RING (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-13-911-010) on the scavenge oil temperature thermocouple (2).
     (b) Install the scavenge oil temperature thermocouple (2) in to the scavenge oil filter (4).
     (c) TORQUE the scavenge oil temperature thermocouple (2) to between 273 and 247 lbf.in (3.08 and 2.79 m.daN ) T (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
   (2) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the scavenge oil temperature thermocouple (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-15-912-010)

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

     (b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)

   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 79-32-16-790-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Do an idle leak check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-012) and on the ECAM DU, make sure that the Oil Temperature is available.
