Installation of the Oil Quantity Transmitter

DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME. FLUSH THE OIL FROM YOUR SKIN WITH WATER. THE OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN GO THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND INTO YOUR BODY.

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.

DO NOT LET ENGINE FUEL OR OIL FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED FUEL OR OIL MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FUEL OR OIL CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

C. Remove the applicable covers/caps/plugs from the openings and the electrical connector.
Subtask 79-31-15-110-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL D. Preparation Before Installation.
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with the cleaning fluid (Material No.V01-002) to clean these parts:
(a) The bolts.
(b) The electrical connector.
(c) The mounting pad.
4. Procedure(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with the cleaning fluid (Material No.V01-002) to clean these parts:
(a) The bolts.
(b) The electrical connector.
(c) The mounting pad.
Subtask 79-31-15-420-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Oil Quantity Transmitter.
(1) Install the transmitter
(a) Put a new AIPC 79-31-15-80-040 SEAL RING (4) on the oil quantity transmitter (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-13-911-010).
(b) Attach the transmitter to the mounting pad with the bolts (3).
(c) TORQUE the bolts to between 110 and 90 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.02 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013)
(2) Connect the electrical connector (2) to the transmitter (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-15-912-010) and
Subtask 79-31-15-942-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the transmitter
(a) Put a new AIPC 79-31-15-80-040 SEAL RING (4) on the oil quantity transmitter (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-13-911-010).
(b) Attach the transmitter to the mounting pad with the bolts (3).
(c) TORQUE the bolts to between 110 and 90 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.02 m.daN )

B. Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

(2) On the ECAM DU, make sure that the oil quantity indication is available.
