Removal of the Oil Tank Pressurization Valve
WARNING:
DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME. FLUSH THE OIL FROM YOUR SKIN WITH WATER. THE OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN GO THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND INTO YOUR BODY.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.
WARNING:
DO NOT REMOVE THE OIL TANK PRESSURIZATION VALVE FOR FIVE MINUTES AFTER THE ENGINE STOPS TO LET THE TANK PRESSURE BLEED OFF.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

A. Remove the Pressurization Valve:
(1) Cut and remove the lockwire that safeties the connector of the oil tube (1).
(2) Disconnect the oil tube (11) from the oil tube (1).
(3) Remove the bolt (10) and the washer (9) which attach the clip (7) of the oil to the bracket (5).
(4) Remove the three bolts (6), the washer (3) and the bracket (5) from the flange of the oil tank breather tube (2).
(5) Remove the two nuts (17) which attach the bracket (16) to the oil tank flange.
(6) Carefully disengage the bracket (16) from the two studs.
(7) Carefully move the free ends of the tubes (1) and (2) so as to let the pressurization valve (13) be removed from the oil tank (15).
(8) Remove the pressurization valve (13) from the breather port on the top of the oil tank (15).
(9) Remove and discard the packings (12) and (14).
(10) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(1) Cut and remove the lockwire that safeties the connector of the oil tube (1).
(2) Disconnect the oil tube (11) from the oil tube (1).
(3) Remove the bolt (10) and the washer (9) which attach the clip (7) of the oil to the bracket (5).
(4) Remove the three bolts (6), the washer (3) and the bracket (5) from the flange of the oil tank breather tube (2).
(5) Remove the two nuts (17) which attach the bracket (16) to the oil tank flange.
(6) Carefully disengage the bracket (16) from the two studs.
(7) Carefully move the free ends of the tubes (1) and (2) so as to let the pressurization valve (13) be removed from the oil tank (15).
(8) Remove the pressurization valve (13) from the breather port on the top of the oil tank (15).
(9) Remove and discard the packings (12) and (14).
(10) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
