(b) Clean all the parts and the contact surfaces with a Textile - lint free cotton (Material No.CPNCL02069) made moist with Diestone DLS (Material No.CPNCL02589) .
(c) ApplyCPNCL00653 Lubricant (molykote G-rapid plus paste) on the pin (23).
(d) Put latches L4-1 (24) and L4-2 (25) in position.
(e) Install the pin (23).
(f) Install the retainer (22).
(g) Lubricate the threads of the screws (21) with Synthetic base lubricating oil - turbine engine (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
(h) Install and TORQUE the screws (21) to between 0.30 and 0.26 m.daN (26.55 and 23.01 lbf.in )

(2) Installation of the latches LACC-1 (19) and LACC-2 (20).
(a) Clean all the parts and the contact surfaces with a Textile - lint free cotton (Material No.CPNCL02069) made moist with Diestone DLS (Material No.CPNCL02589) .
(b) ApplyCPNCL00653 Lubricant (molykote G-rapid plus paste) on the pin (18).
(c) Put latches LACC-1 (19) and LACC-2 (20) in position.
(d) Install a new AIPC 78-30-25-10-310 LATCH PIN L6 (18).
(e) Install a new AIPC 78-30-25-10-305 COTTER PIN (17).
(f) Close the thermal blanket (16) and tighten the screws (15) by 1/4 of a turn.
(3) Installation of the latches L3-1 (13) and L3-2 (14):
(a) Clean all the parts and the contact surfaces with a Textile - lint free cotton (Material No.CPNCL02069) made moist with Diestone DLS (Material No.CPNCL02589) .
(b) ApplyCPNCL00653 Lubricant (molykote G-rapid plus paste) on the pin (12).
(c) Put latches L3-1 (13) and L3-2 (14) in position.
(d) Install the pin (12).
1 Install a new AIPC 78-30-25-10-280 COTTER PIN (11) and AIPC 78-30-25-10-285 COTTER PIN (47).
(4) Installation of the latch L2 (10):
(a) Clean all the parts and the contact surfaces with a Textile - lint free cotton (Material No.CPNCL02069) made moist with Diestone DLS (Material No.CPNCL02589) .
(b) ApplyCPNCL00653 Lubricant (molykote G-rapid plus paste) on the pin (9).
(c) Put latch L2 (10) in position.
(d) Install the pin (9).
(e) Install a new AIPC 78-30-25-10-265 COTTER PIN (8).
(f) Install the fire box latch L2 (7) with the washers (6) and screws (5).
(g) TORQUE the screws (5) to between 0.374 and 0.306 m.daN (33.10 and 27.08 lbf.in )

(5) Installation of the latch L1 (4):
(a) Clean all the parts and the contact surfaces with a Textile - lint free cotton (Material No.CPNCL02069) made moist with Diestone DLS (Material No.CPNCL02589) .
(b) ApplyCPNCL00653 Lubricant (molykote G-rapid plus paste) on the pin (3).
(c) Put latch L1 (4) in position.
(d) Install the AIPC 78-30-25-10-255 LATCH PIN L1 (3).
(e) Install the fork latch L1 pin retention (2) with the screw (1).
(f) TORQUE the screw (1) to between 0.374 and 0.306 m.daN (33.10 and 27.08 lbf.in )

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 78-36-41-010-087-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
A. Installation of the Thrust Reverser Cowl Latches NOTE: You can install each latch independently of the others.
(1) Installation of the latches L4-1 (24) and L4-2 (25):CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER COWL DOORS DO NOT EXTEND TO MORE THAN 254 MM (10 IN.). IF THEY DO, THERE IS A HIGH RISK THAT DAMAGE TO THE THRUST REVERSER END AND THE WING WILL OCCUR.
(a) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors are deployed to 254 mm (10.00 in.) maximum (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-50-010-801). (b) Clean all the parts and the contact surfaces with a Textile - lint free cotton (Material No.CPNCL02069) made moist with Diestone DLS (Material No.CPNCL02589) .
(c) Apply
(d) Put latches L4-1 (24) and L4-2 (25) in position.
(e) Install the pin (23).
(f) Install the retainer (22).
(g) Lubricate the threads of the screws (21) with Synthetic base lubricating oil - turbine engine (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
(h) Install and TORQUE the screws (21) to between 0.30 and 0.26 m.daN (26.55 and 23.01 lbf.in )
. (2) Installation of the latches LACC-1 (19) and LACC-2 (20).
(a) Clean all the parts and the contact surfaces with a Textile - lint free cotton (Material No.CPNCL02069) made moist with Diestone DLS (Material No.CPNCL02589) .

(c) Put latches LACC-1 (19) and LACC-2 (20) in position.
(d) Install a new AIPC 78-30-25-10-310 LATCH PIN L6 (18).
(e) Install a new AIPC 78-30-25-10-305 COTTER PIN (17).
(f) Close the thermal blanket (16) and tighten the screws (15) by 1/4 of a turn.
(3) Installation of the latches L3-1 (13) and L3-2 (14):

(c) Put latch L2 (10) in position.
(d) Install the pin (9).
(e) Install a new AIPC 78-30-25-10-265 COTTER PIN (8).
(f) Install the fire box latch L2 (7) with the washers (6) and screws (5).
(g) TORQUE the screws (5) to between 0.374 and 0.306 m.daN (33.10 and 27.08 lbf.in )
. (5) Installation of the latch L1 (4):
(a) Clean all the parts and the contact surfaces with a Textile - lint free cotton (Material No.CPNCL02069) made moist with Diestone DLS (Material No.CPNCL02589) .
(b) Apply
(c) Put latch L1 (4) in position.
(d) Install the AIPC 78-30-25-10-255 LATCH PIN L1 (3).
(e) Install the fork latch L1 pin retention (2) with the screw (1).
(f) TORQUE the screw (1) to between 0.374 and 0.306 m.daN (33.10 and 27.08 lbf.in )
. B. Installation of the Thrust Reverser Cowl Latch Keepers
(2) Installation of the latch keeper L1 (28):
(a) Install the spring (27) on the latch keeper L1 (28).
(b) Put the latch keeper L1 (28) with the spring (27) in position and the tension nut (26).
(c) Turn the tension nut (26) until it is in correct position.
(3) Installation of the latch keeper L2 (31):
(a) Install the spring (30) on the latch keeper L2 (31).
(b) Put the latch keeper L2 (31) with the spring (30) in position and the tension nut (29).
(c) Turn the tension nut (29) until it is in correct position.
(4) Installation of the latch keeper L3-1 (34) and L3-2 (37):
(a) Install the spring (33) and (36) on the latch keeper L3-1 (34) and L3-2 (37).
(b) Put the latch keeper L3-1 (34) and L3-2 (37) with the spring (33) and (36) in position and the tension nuts (32) and (35).
(c) Turn the tension nuts (32) and (35) until they are in correct position.
(5) Installation of the latch keeper LACC-1 (40) and LACC-2 (43):
(a) Install the spring (39) and (42) on the latch keeper LACC-1 (40) and LACC-2 (43).
(b) Put the latch keeper LACC-1 (40) and LACC-2 (43) with the spring (39) and (42) in position and the tension nuts (38) and (41).
(c) Turn the tension nuts (38) and (41) until they are in correct position.
(6) Installation of the transcowl latch keepers L4-1 and L4-2:
(a) Install the keeper bolt (46).
(b) Put the keeper retainer (45) in position.
(c) Lubricate the threads of the screws (44) with Synthetic base lubricating oil - turbine engine (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
(d) Install and TORQUE the screws (44) to between 0.30 and 0.26 m.daN (26.55 and 23.01 lbf.in )

5. Close-upNOTE: You can install each latch keeper independently of the others.
(1) Clean all the parts and the contact surfaces with a Textile - lint free cotton (Material No.CPNCL02069) made moist with Diestone DLS (Material No.CPNCL02589) . (2) Installation of the latch keeper L1 (28):
(a) Install the spring (27) on the latch keeper L1 (28).
(b) Put the latch keeper L1 (28) with the spring (27) in position and the tension nut (26).
(c) Turn the tension nut (26) until it is in correct position.
(3) Installation of the latch keeper L2 (31):
(a) Install the spring (30) on the latch keeper L2 (31).
(b) Put the latch keeper L2 (31) with the spring (30) in position and the tension nut (29).
(c) Turn the tension nut (29) until it is in correct position.
(4) Installation of the latch keeper L3-1 (34) and L3-2 (37):
(a) Install the spring (33) and (36) on the latch keeper L3-1 (34) and L3-2 (37).
(b) Put the latch keeper L3-1 (34) and L3-2 (37) with the spring (33) and (36) in position and the tension nuts (32) and (35).
(c) Turn the tension nuts (32) and (35) until they are in correct position.
(5) Installation of the latch keeper LACC-1 (40) and LACC-2 (43):
(a) Install the spring (39) and (42) on the latch keeper LACC-1 (40) and LACC-2 (43).
(b) Put the latch keeper LACC-1 (40) and LACC-2 (43) with the spring (39) and (42) in position and the tension nuts (38) and (41).
(c) Turn the tension nuts (38) and (41) until they are in correct position.
(6) Installation of the transcowl latch keepers L4-1 and L4-2:
(a) Install the keeper bolt (46).
(b) Put the keeper retainer (45) in position.
(c) Lubricate the threads of the screws (44) with Synthetic base lubricating oil - turbine engine (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
(d) Install and TORQUE the screws (44) to between 0.30 and 0.26 m.daN (26.55 and 23.01 lbf.in )

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Manually stow the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-50-410-801), if deployed to install latch L4-1 (24) and L4-2 (25).
(3) Do the adjustment of the thrust-reverser cowl latch-tension (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-41-820-802).
(4) Close the left thrust-reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-806):

(4) Close the left thrust-reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-806):
