A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

B. Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

C. Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).

A. Installation of the Kicker Plate on the Blocker Door

CAUTION: DO NOT PUSH ON THE STOW SWITCH LEVER WHEN BLOCKER DOOR IS OPENED OR DAMAGE COULD OCCUR.

(1) Install the kicker plates on the pivoting door.

(2) Install screws, washers and new AIPC 78-32-41-01-460 NUTS (10).

(3) Install screws (30), (60), washers (20), (50) and new AIPC 78-32-41-01-460 NUTS (10) and AIPC 78-32-41-01-460 NUT (40).

(4) Torque the outer nut:

CAUTION: TAKE CARE NOT TO SCREW ON THE INNER NUT OR KICKER PLATE, DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.

(a) Install an hexagonal driver of 2mm (0.08 in.) into the threaded stem.
(b) Hold the driver and torque the outer nut until it breaks.
(5) Remove the HIX3005 SAFETY SLEEVE - PIVOTING DOOR ACTUATOR from the pivoting door actuator without making thrust reverser operational (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-080-040).
(6) Stow the blocker door:

CAUTION: BLOCKER DOOR LATCH MUST BE OPENED WHEN YOU CLOSE THE BLOCKER DOOR OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.

(a) Manually bring the blocker door to stow position (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-041).
(7) Make sure of the alignment of the blocker door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-820-040).

5. Close-up

A. Make the thrust reverser serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
