C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Ground Maintenance
Subtask 78-32-36-010-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for the ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 78-32-36-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Installation of the Lockout Pin Cover
(1) Install the lockout pin cover (2):
(b) Clean the mating surface of the latch beam with a clean cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) and thePU2-0001 alcohol, isopropyl . Remove the PU2-0001 alcohol, isopropyl with a clean cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) before the PU2-0001 alcohol, isopropyl becomes dry.
(d) Let the release agent (Material No.PU5-0004) or alternates fully dry. Refer to the instructions of the manufacturer.
(e) Install the lockout pin cover (2) with the two bolts (1).
1 TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )

2 Apply the PR-2001 rapid cure fuel tank sealant (Material No.PU3-0005) or alternate sealant (Material No.PU3-0005A) or alternate sealant (Material No.PU3-0005B) to the gaps between the lockout pin cover (2) and the latch beam. Refer to the instructions of the manufacturer.
3 Make the PR-2001 rapid cure fuel tank sealant (Material No.PU3-0005) or alternates a smooth, even surface and flush with the lockout pin cover (2) and the latch beam.
5. Close-up(1) Install the lockout pin cover (2):
NOTE: The lockout pin cover (2) for the left thrust reverser door is shown. The lockout pin cover (2) for the right thrust reverser door is opposite.
(a) Remove sealant from the mating surfaces of the latch beam with the SPATULA - PLASTIC or equivalent. (b) Clean the mating surface of the latch beam with a clean cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) and the
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE RELEASE AGENT DOES NOT GET ON OTHER AREAS OF THE THRUST REVERSER DOOR.
APPLY THE RELEASE AGENT AWAY FROM THE DOOR OR PUT MASKING TAPE ON THE ADJACENT AREAS.
IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, DAMAGE TO THE OTHER SURFACES CAN OCCUR.
(c) Apply two layers of the release agent (Material No.PU5-0004) or alternate release agent (Material No.PU5-0004A) or alternate release agent (Material No.PU5-0004B) to the mating surface of the lockout pin cover (2). (d) Let the release agent (Material No.PU5-0004) or alternates fully dry. Refer to the instructions of the manufacturer.
(e) Install the lockout pin cover (2) with the two bolts (1).
1 TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
