CAUTION: USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:

ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.

THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE PARTS.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THERE IS NO UNWANTED MATERIAL IN THE PORTS AND ORIFICES OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.

CAUTION: YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS LUBRICANT.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 78-31-49-020-066-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Remove the Interface Bracket, HCU Bracket and Hydraulic Line Middle Bracket.
(1) Remove the HCU bracket as follows:

HCU Bracket ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(2) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(3) Remove the clamp, bolt and nut which attach the electrical harness on the bracket.
(4) Disconnect the interface hydraulic hoses from the HCU bracket.
(5) Disconnect the actuator rod and head supply pipe and the lower blocker door supply pipe from the bracket.
(6) Remove the bolts which attach the bracket on the HCU.
(7) Remove the HCU bracket.
(8) Remove the interface bracket.
(a) Remove the nut, bolt and the clamp which attach the electrical harness on the bracket
(b) Disconnect the interface hydraulic hose from the interface bracket.
(c) Disconnect the rod and head supply pipe, the left latch return pipe and the upper left latch supply pipe from the interface bracket
(d) Remove the bolt which attach the bracket on the forward frame.
(e) Remove the interface bracket.
(9) Remove the hydraulic line middle bracket
(a) Manually bring the blocker door to deploy position (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-040) .
(b) Install the HIX3005 SAFETY SLEEVE - PIVOTING DOOR ACTUATOR on the blocker door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-480-040).
(c) Disconnect the rod and head supply pipes from the bracket.

Supply Hoses and Pipes - Actuator Rod and Head ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(d) Remove bolts, washers, half clamps and heat shield from the bracket.

Supply Hoses and Pipes - Actuator Rod and Head ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(e) Disconnect the rod and head supply junction pipe from the middle bracket.
(f) Remove the bolts and nuts which attach the bracket on the forward frame.
(g) Carefully move the pipes aside and remove the middle bracket.
(10) Remove the container.
(11) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
