C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
WARNING: MAKE THE THRUST REVERSER UNSERVICEABLE. IF THE THRUST REVERSER IS NOT MADE UNSERVICEABLE, IT CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY BECAUSE THE BLOCKER DOOR HOLD-OPEN ROD DOES NOT RESIST THE ACTUATOR HYDRAULIC PRESSURE. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).
4. Procedure
CAUTION: DO NOT PUSH ON THE STOW SWITCH LEVER WHEN BLOCKER DOOR IS OPENED OR DAMAGE COULD OCCUR.

A. Prepare the Hydraulic Actuator Clevis for Installation
   (1) Make sure that the sliding bushing is installed on the hydraulic actuator clevis lug.
     (a) If the bushing is installed on the clevis lug, install the hydraulic actuator clevis. Go to Para. 4.B.
     (b) If the bushing is not installed on the clevis lug, install the sliding bushing.
   (2) Installation of the sliding bushing on the hydraulic actuator clevis (Ref. FIG 402/Sheet 3)

PRE SPIB CFM11215RM1

   (3) Make sure that the sliding bushing is installed on the hydraulic actuator clevis lug.
     (a) Apply Mastinox (commercially available) only to the outer diameter of the sliding bushing.
     (b) Install the sliding bushing into the lug.

END OF PRE SPIB CFM11215RM1

POST SPIB CFM11215RM1

   (4) Install the sliding bushing on the clevis lug.
     (a) Apply molykote G rapid (Material No.CP2104) to the outer diameter of the sliding bushing.
     (b) Install the sliding bushing into the shouldered bushing of the lug.

END OF POST SPIB CFM11215RM1

B. Installation of the Blocker-Door Hydraulic-Actuator Clevis
   (1) Install the hydraulic actuator clevis on the actuator:
CAUTION: ADJUSTMENTS TO THE ROD EYE END OF THE HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR ROD, CAN ONLY BE PERFORMED IN THE SHOP SETTING USING THE FIXTURE PNR Q21806. ON WING ADJUSTMENTS MAY LEAD TO MISSRIGGING OF ACTUATOR AND UNCORRECT LOCK OF THE BLOCKER DOOR. THIS COULD CAUSE THE BLOCKER DOOR TO UNLOCK DURING FLIGHT.
CAUTION: BEFORE PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING CHECK, THE CLEVIS PIN THREADS MUST BE FREE OF DEBRIS AND CONTAMINATION.
     (a) Apply lubricant molykote G rapid (Material No.CP2104) on the pin.
     (b) Install the pin and the washer, and put the castellated nut (31) on the thread.
     (c) Measure the breakaway torque (A) of the nut (31) as follows:
1 Use the WRENCH - TORQUE to tighten the nut (31).
2 Make sure that the minimum breakaway torque to turn the nut (31) is more than 1.07 m.N (9.5 lbf.in).
a If the minimum breakaway torque is not in the limits, discard the nut and install a new AIPC 78-31-41-02-040 NUT (31).
       3 TORQUE the nut (31) to torque (A) plus 24.5 m.N (18 lbf.ft).
NOTE: The nut can be tightened 1/12 of a turn maximum to put the bolt hole in line with a castle of the nut (31).
       4 The final torque (A + 24.5 m.N (18 lbf.ft) + 1/12 of a turn) must be to between 40 and 26 m.N (29.50 and 19.17 lbf.ft )
T.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
     (d) Install the new
AIPC 78-31-41-02-030 COTTER PIN (30).
   (2) Install the hydraulic actuator clevis on the blocker door as follows:
NOTE: Before the installation, make sure that you align the clevis holes with the blocker door holes.
     (a) Install the four washers and the bolts.
1 Make sure that the bolts go through the locknut with a minimum of 1.5 threads on the other side.
     (b) TORQUE the bolts to between 0.90 and 0.79 m.daN (79.65 and 69.91 lbf.in )

   (2) After cleaning, use hydraulic fluid wipes and do as follows:
     (a) Wipe the piston and cylinder/actuator cap rod end with isopropyl alcohol (Material No.CP1041) .
     (b) Wipe the piston with hydraulic fluid NSA-307-110 type 4 (Material No.CP2212) .
