This task is available only for A/C equipped with actuator fitting assembly P/N 321-322-900-0, P/N 321-322-900-6 or P/N 321-360-801-0 which contains fitting P/N 321-313-500-6 or P/N 321-360-901-6. For further information, please refer to Airbus SB 78-1032/VSBRA32078-127.
NOTE: P/N 321-322-900-0, P/N 321-322-900-6 or P/N 321-360-801-0 are P/N of the fitting assembly itself. P/N 321-313-500-6 or P/N 321-360-901-6 are P/N of the fitting.

A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position .

C. Make the thrust reverser unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).
4. Procedure

A. Removal for Access
   (1) Remove the blocker door hydraulic actuator clevis for access (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-41-000-803).

B. Do an inspection of the clevis and the related hardware as follows:

1.Examine the clevis and the related hardware for:


A.Damage (Base and Radius only)
No damage permitted
If you find damage, replace the defective part (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-41-000-803) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-41-400-803).
B.Missing
None permitted
If parts are missing, replace them (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-41-000-803) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-41-400-803).
C.Corrosion the clevis
0.060 in. (1.52 mm) deep
( 0.256 in. (6.50 mm) remaining lug thickness)
Inspect the clevis lugs for corrosion damage. If the actuator clevis lug is corroded, remove the corrosion SRM 517400. Apply chemical conversion coating plus paint to all blended areas per SRM 512100.
D.Corrosion found within the clevis bore area.
No corrosion permitted
If corrosion is found within the bore area, either replace with the new clevis (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-41-000-803) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-41-400-803), or contact UTC Aerospace Systems, Service Bulletin No. RA32078-127.
E.Bolts protrusion through the locking feature of the nut
Bolt must protrude a minimum of 1.5 threads through nut.
Replace the bolt with the bolt of the correct length AIPC 78-31-41-02.
F.Surface damage including but not limited to nick, scratch, gouge, chafe, wear, abrasion;(Tangs only).
0.315 in. (8.00 mm) minimum remaining thickness
Determine the surface cleanup NSRM 540101.
2.Examine the blocker door actuator rod for:


A.Scratch
No scratch permitted
If there is a scratch, replace the actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-41-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-41-400-001).

C. Installation of the Blocker Door Hydraulic Actuator Clevis
   (1) Install the blocker door hydraulic actuator clevis (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-41-400-803).
5. Close-up
Subtask 78-31-41-860-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close the blocker doors.
CAUTION: BLOCKER DOOR LATCH MUST BE OPENED WHEN YOU CLOSE THE BLOCKER DOOR OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.
   (1) Move the blocker doors to the closed position manually (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-002).

B. Make the thrust reverser serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041).

C. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

     (b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
447AL 448AR.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

D. Do an operational test.
   (1) Do an operational test of the thrust reverser system (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-00-710-042).
NOTE: As an alternative procedure, you can do this operational test without the CFDS:
