Subtask 78-31-19-860-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(2) Lubricate the packings and install them on the unions (20).
(b) Install the unions (20) on the blocker door latch (15).
(c) TORQUE the unions to between 300 and 260 lbf.in (3.39 and 2.94 m.daN )

(3) Apply a layer of blindexite RT 342-2 (Material No.CP2318) on the door latch surface in contact with the forward frame.
(4) Install the nearest bolt from the V-head ring segment in the pivoting door latch.
(5) Engage the blocker door latch in the forward frame.
(6) Install the bolts (25) and the nuts (5).
(7) TORQUE the nuts (5) to between 70 and 61 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.69 m.daN )

(8) Connect the supply and return tubes to the blocker door latch (15).
(a) TORQUE the coupling nuts of the supply and return tubes to between 150 and 130 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.47 m.daN )

(9) Installation of the Thermal Blankets on the Blocker Door Latch
(a) Put the thermal blanket (35) in place on the blocker door latch (15).
(b) Put the thermal blanket (30) in place on the other side of the blocker door latch (15).
(c) Wind the strap on blanket (30) around the blanket (35).
(d) Make sure the two thermal blankets (30) and (35) fully touch the blocker door latch (15).
(e) Tie the two blankets (30) and (35) together usingCP8001 lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. or CP8002 lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia .
(f) Put the thermal blanket (40) on the blocker door latch (15). It should cover the blankets (30) and (35).
(g) Turn the Dzus fastener on the blanket (40) 1/4 turn to lock it.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position on the right side of engine.
(4) Make sure that the blocker door are deployed (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-001).

D. Make sure that the HIX3005 SAFETY SLEEVE - PIVOTING DOOR ACTUATOR is on the blocker door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-480-001).
4. ProcedureWARNING:
WEAR A FACE SHIELD WHICH IS RESISTANT TO HIGH PRESSURE JETS WHEN YOU WORK ON PRESSURIZED SYSTEMS.
WARNING:
DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
- FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
- GET MEDICAL AID.
CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
Subtask 78-31-19-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL - ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
CAUTION:
DO NOT PUSH ON THE STOW SWITCH LEVER WHEN BLOCKER DOOR IS OPENED OR DAMAGE COULD OCCUR.
A. Installation of the Blocker Door Latches NOTE: You should apply a witness line of finish paint EA4 blue 5991 (Material No.CP2245) on all nuts and connections when you have checked their torques.
(1) Remove the protective covers from the hydraulic tubes and the blanking plugs from the holes in the blocker door latch (15). (2) Lubricate the packings and install them on the unions (20).
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THERE IS NO UNWANTED MATERIAL IN THE PORTS AND ORIFICES OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:
YOU MUST LUBRICATE UNIONS AND HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID BEFORE INSTALLATION.
(a) Lubricate the AIPC 78-31-19-01-030 PREFORMED PACKINGS (10) with hydraulic fluid and install them on the unions (20). (b) Install the unions (20) on the blocker door latch (15).
(c) TORQUE the unions to between 300 and 260 lbf.in (3.39 and 2.94 m.daN )
. (3) Apply a layer of blindexite RT 342-2 (Material No.CP2318) on the door latch surface in contact with the forward frame.

(5) Engage the blocker door latch in the forward frame.

(1) Manually move the blocker doors to the closed position (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-002). D. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):
