A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.

E. Install the HIX3005 SAFETY SLEEVE - PIVOTING DOOR ACTUATOR on blocker door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-480-040).

4. Procedure

A. Do a visual inspection of the pivoting door latch and the related hardware as follows :

INSPECT/CHECK	MAXIMUM SERVICEABLE LIMITS	REMARKS
1.Do the inspection of the pivoting door latch for:
A.Damage	No damage permitted	If you find some damage, replace blocker door latch (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-400-040)
B.Hydraulic leakage	No hydraulic leakage permitted	If there is leakage, check nipples for correct torque (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-400-040)
		If the leakage persists, replace the preformed packing (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-400-040)
		If the leakage persists, replace the blocker door latch (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-400-040)
2.Do the inspection of the related hardware for:
A.Damage	No damage permitted	If you find some damage, replace the defective part (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-400-040)
3.Do the inspection of the latch fitting (hinge) and the roller for:
A.Damage	No damage permitted	If you find some damage replace the latch fitting (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-000-042) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-400-042).
4.Do the inspection of the forward frame around the latch for:
A.Damage	No damage permitted	If you find some damage replace the half door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-11-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-11-400-040).

5. Close-up

A. Remove the safety sleeve (HIX3005) from the blocker door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-080-040).

B. Stowing of the blocker door:

CAUTION: BLOCKER DOOR LATCH MUST BE OPENED WHEN YOU CLOSE THE BLOCKER DOOR OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.

(1) Bring blocker doors to stow position manually (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-041).

C. Make the thrust reverser serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041).

(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
