A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position in the right side of the engine.

C. Make the thrust reverser unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).

D. Deploy the blocker door manually (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-001).

E. Install the HIX3005 SAFETY SLEEVE - PIVOTING DOOR ACTUATOR on the blocker door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-480-001) .

4. Procedure

A. Do a Visual Inspection of the Blocker Door Latch and the Related Hardware

INSPECT/CHECK	MAXIMUM SERVICEABLE LIMITS	REMARKS
1.Examine the blocker door latch for:
A.Damage	No damage permitted	If you find some damage, replace blocker door latch (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-400-001)
B.Crack	No crack permitted	If there is crack, replace the blocker door latch (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-400-001)
C.Missing of surface treatment	No missing permitted	If there is any missing of surface treatment, replace the blocker door latch (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-400-001)
D.Hydraulic leakage	No hydraulic leakage permitted	If there is leakage, check nipples for correct torque (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-400-001)
		If the leakage continues, replace the preformed packing (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-400-001)
		If the leakage continues, replace the blocker door latch (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-400-001)
2.Examine the related hardware for:
A.Damage	No damage permitted	If you find some damage, replace the defective part (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-19-400-001)
3.Examine the latch fitting (hinge) and the roller for:
A.Damage	No damage permitted	If there is damage replace the latch fitting (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-000-003)and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-400-003).
B.Crack	No crack permitted	If there is crack replace the latch fitting (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-000-003)and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-400-003).
C.Jamming	The roller must be free to turn.	If the roller is not free remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-000-003)and reinstall it (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-400-003).
4.Examine the forward frame around the latch for:
A.Crack, damage	None permitted.	If you find some crack(s) or other damage replace the half door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-11-000-002)and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-11-400-002).

5. Close-up

A. Remove the safety sleeve (HIX-3005) from the blocker door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-080-001).

B. Stowing of the blocker door:

CAUTION: BLOCKER DOOR LATCH MUST BE OPENED WHEN YOU CLOSE THE BLOCKER DOOR OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.

(1) Move the blocker doors to the closed position manually (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-002).

C. Make the thrust reverser serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041).

D. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):

(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
