3. Job Set-up
Subtask 77-23-10-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

   (2) Make sure that the thrust reverser doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-040):

C. Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).
4. Procedure
Subtask 77-23-10-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Compressor Discharge Temperature (T3) Sensor
CAUTION: DO NOT BEND THE CONDUIT THAT CONNECTS THE THERMOCOUPLE PROBE AND THE ELECTRICAL CABLE CONNECTOR UNIT. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE LEAD INSIDE THE CONDUIT.
   (1) Install the new AIPC 77-23-10-01-060 METAL O-RING GASKET (90) over the combustion case thermocouple probe port.
   (2) Install the thermocouple into the combustion case port and put the electrical cable connector unit in position.
   (3) Lubricate the thermocouple probe bolts (80) with graphite grease (Material No.
CP2101) .

   (4) Install the four bolts (80) in the thermocouple probe flange. TORQUE the bolts (80) to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN ) T.
   (5) Installation of the lockwire:
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Wirelock the bolts (80) with the CP8001lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. or the CP8002lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia.
   (6) Lubricate the electrical cable connector unit bolts (20) with graphite grease (Material No.
CP2101) .
   (7) Attach the electrical cable connector unit to the forward bracket with bolts (20) and nuts (10). TORQUE the nuts (10) to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN ) T.
   (8) Lubricate the mid-conduit bracket bolt (50) with graphite grease (Material No.
CP2101) .
   (9) Install the bolt (50), washer (60) and nut (70) at the mid-conduit bracket. TORQUE the nut (70) to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN ) T.

POST SB 77-004

   (10) Install the four bolts (80) in the thermocouple probe flange. Do not TORQUE the bolts (80) at this time.
   (11) Lubricate the electrical cable connector unit bolts (20) with graphite grease (Material No.
CP2101) .
   (12) Attach the electrical cable connector unit to the attachment bracket with the bolts (20) and the nuts (10). Do not TORQUE the bolts (20) at this time.
   (13) Lubricate the loop clamp bolt (50) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
   (14) Install the bolt (50) and the nut (70) at the loop clamp (55). Do not TORQUE the nut (70) at this time.
   (15) TORQUE the four bolts (80) in the thermocouple probe flange to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN ) T.
   (16) Installation of the lockwire:
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Attach the bolts (80) with the CP8001lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. or the CP8002lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia.
   (17) TORQUE the nuts (10) in the electrical cable connector unit to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN )

   (18) TORQUE the nut (70) at the loop clamp (55) to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN )

   (19) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (20) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (21) Connect the 2 electrical cable connectors (30, 40). Tighten the connectors by hand. If necessary, use the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT to fully seat the connectors.
