A. Removal of the T5 Sensor:
(1) Removal of the T5 Sensor (10).
(a) Cut and remove the lockwire from the coupling nut of the CJ13 wiring harness connector (at the 5 o'clock position, flange R). Loosen the coupling nut and disconnect the CJ13 harness connector from the connector of T5 sensor (10).
(b) Remove the 2 nuts (130) and bolts (150). This releases the bracket (170) and T5 sensor (10) connector assembly from the bracket (140), at flange R.
(c) Remove the nuts (100) and bolts (110) which attach the T5 sensor (10) to its turbine frame boss.
(d) Remove the nut (50), the bolt (20) and the clamp (30) which attach the T5 sensor (10) to the bracket (40) at flange T.
(e) Remove the nut (90), the bolt (60) and the clamp (70) which attach the T5 sensor (10) to the bracket (80) at flange S.
(f) Carefully remove the T5 sensor (10) from the engine.
(g) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the CJ13 wiring harness connector.
(2) Disassemble the bracket (170) from the T5 sensor (10) connector as follows:
(a) Cut and remove the lockwire which safeties the 4 screws (120).
(b) Remove the 4 screws (120) and the 2 half-plates (160) which attach the T5 sensor (10) connector to the bracket (170). Remove the bracket (170). Keep the screws (120), the bracket (170) and the half-plates (160).
(c) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the connector of the removed T5 sensor assembly (10).
