Installation of the Core Compartment Temperature (CCT) Sensor

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 77-22-05-010-052-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 77-22-05-010-053-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-809). D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the right thrust-reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the right thrust-reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

A. Installation of the Core Compartment Temperature (CCT) Sensor
(2) Apply engine oil (Material No.CP2442) to the threads of the two bolts (2), the bolt (5) and the two bolts (6).
(3) Put the Core Compartment Temperature (CCT) sensor (1) in position as follows:
(b) Put the Core Compartment Temperature (CCT) sensor (1) in position between the support bracket (3) and the support bracket (7).
(4) Install the two bolts (2) that attach the Core Compartment Temperature (CCT) sensor (1) to the support bracket (3). Do not tighten them.
(5) Install the bolt (5) that attaches the Core Compartment Temperature (CCT) sensor (1) and the loop clamp (8) to the support bracket (9). Do not tighten them.
(6) TORQUE the two bolts (2) to between 67 and 57 lbf.in (0.76 and 0.64 m.daN )

(7) TORQUE the two bolts (6) to between 67 and 57 lbf.in (0.76 and 0.64 m.daN )
.
(8) TORQUE the bolt (5) to between 38 and 32 lbf.in (0.43 and 0.36 m.daN )
.
(9) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the Core Compartment Temperature (CCT) sensor (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804). Use PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT only if necessary.
5. Close-upCAUTION:
YOU MUST DO ALL THE STEPS IN THE CORRECT SEQUENCE. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE CORE-COMPARTMENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR CABLE CAN OCCUR.
(1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors. (2) Apply engine oil (Material No.CP2442) to the threads of the two bolts (2), the bolt (5) and the two bolts (6).
(3) Put the Core Compartment Temperature (CCT) sensor (1) in position as follows:
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE CONNECTOR SOCKET IS IN THE CENTER OF THE SUPPORT BRACKET CUTOUT. IF IT IS NOT, DAMAGE TO THE CORE- COMPARTMENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR CABLE CAN OCCUR.
(a) Install the two bolts (6) that attach the Core Compartment Temperature (CCT) sensor (1) to the support bracket (7). Do not tighten them. (b) Put the Core Compartment Temperature (CCT) sensor (1) in position between the support bracket (3) and the support bracket (7).
(4) Install the two bolts (2) that attach the Core Compartment Temperature (CCT) sensor (1) to the support bracket (3). Do not tighten them.
(5) Install the bolt (5) that attaches the Core Compartment Temperature (CCT) sensor (1) and the loop clamp (8) to the support bracket (9). Do not tighten them.
(6) TORQUE the two bolts (2) to between 67 and 57 lbf.in (0.76 and 0.64 m.daN )
. (7) TORQUE the two bolts (6) to between 67 and 57 lbf.in (0.76 and 0.64 m.daN )
. (8) TORQUE the bolt (5) to between 38 and 32 lbf.in (0.43 and 0.36 m.daN )
. (9) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the Core Compartment Temperature (CCT) sensor (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804). Use PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT only if necessary.

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the right thrust-reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-806):
