Subtask 75-31-50-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL C. Removal of the Bleed Valve and Master Ballscrew Actuator
(1) Remove the 2 flexible shafts (90) located on each side of master ballscrew actuator (40) (Ref. AMM TASK 75-31-30-000-003).
(2) Disconnect the feedback rod (50) of the VBV from the bleed valve and master ballscrew actuator (40) as follows :
(a) Remove and discard cotter pin (170).
(b) Remove slotted nut (180).
(c) Remove washer (190).
(d) Remove bolt (200) and disengage clevis (150) from VBV feedback reverser arm (60). The arm (60) is on the Rotary Variable Differential Transducer (RVDT).
(3) Remove the 2 bracket screws (70) securing bleed valve and master ballscrew actuator (40) to fan frame (9 o'clock strut).
(4) Loosen the 4 main captive bolts (130 and 210) (upper horizontal and lower vertical) attaching bleed valve and master ballscrew actuator (40) to fan frame.
(5) Disengage the flexible shaft
(b) Disengage hexagonal end of main flexible shaft (80) by pushing it into the bleed valve stop mechanism (140) and bleed valve fuel gear motor assembly (10) using an ALLEN KEY - DRIVER 2 MM (5/64 IN) across flats.
(6) Remove bleed valve and master ballscrew actuator (40).
