Operational Test of Continuous Ignition Selection in Case of EIU Failure or Engine Anti-Ice Selection.

1. Reason for the Job
To do an operationnal test of the continuous ignition logics in case of EIU failure or selection of engine anti-ice.
This procedure is applicable only for aircraft that have the AIDS.

D. Start the engine and let it become stable at minimum idle for 2 minutes. (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-003)

4. Procedure

A. Test.

ACTION	RESULT
1.On the MCDU:
Push the line key adjacent to PARAM LAB indication	The AIDS PARAM LABEL CALL-UP page comes into view
2.On the MCDU keyboard enter these parameters:
For engine 1: 07C/1/273/01/18 For engine 2: 07C/2/273/10/18	The parameters are displayed under the RETURN indication.
3.Push the key 1L	The parameter is displayed in front of Key 1L
4.On the overhead CTL & IND PNL 25VU:
release the ENGINE 1(2) ANTI-ICE pushbutton switch	On the pusbutton switch the ON legend comes on The engine speed increases from ground idle to flight idle On the MCDU , Bit 23 of the parameter you entered is set to "1" (continuous ignition active)
5.On the overhead CTL & IND PNL 25VU:
Push the ENGINE 1(2) ANTI-ICE pushbutton switch	On the pusbutton switch the ON legend goes off The engine speed decreases from flight idle to ground idle On the MCDU , Bit 23 of the parameter you entered is set to "0" (continuous ignition inactive)
6.Pull circuit breakers 2KS1 (2KS2) and 4KS1 (4KS2) NOTE: Ignore the warning relatives to the EIU that can occur during the procedure that follows.	The engine speed increases from ground idle to flight idle On the ECAM display, make sure that IGN indication appears
7.Close the circuit breakers 2KS1 (2KS2) and 4KS1 (4KS2)	The engine speed decreases from flight idle to ground idle On the MCDU , bit 23 of the parameter you entered is set to "0"
8.Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication	the AIDS menu comes into view
9.Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the MCDU menu comes into view.	MCDU MENU comes into view.

A. Shut down the engine (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-028).
