4. Procedure
Subtask 73-25-34-869-050-A
A. Check of the configuration memorized in EIU internal memory.
   (1) If you have to do a check of the EIU 1 internal configuration, do as follows:
NOTE: The actions and results of this procedure occur on Multipurpose Control & Display Unit (MCDU) you use.
     (a) On EIU 1 output bus, check:
ACTION
DEFINITION
RESULT
CONFIGURATION
1. On the center pedestal, on the SWITCHING panel 8VU, make sure that the Electronic Instrument System (EIS) Display Management Computer (DMC) selector-switch is set to NORM.

2. Get access to the parameter call-up menus refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-008) and enter the following parameter label call-up command:

On MCDU:

  • 07B/1/032/01
HPP ENG1
  • Make sure that the 7th bit starting from the right is at 1
1 = Engine 1 selected
0 = Engine 1 not selected
  • 07B/1/032/01
HPP ENG2
  • Make sure that the 8th bit starting from the right is at 0
1 = Engine 2 selected
0 = Engine 2 not selected
  • 07B/1/032/01
HPP CFM
  • Make sure that the 9th bit starting from the right is at 1
1 = CFM engines selected
0 = CFM engines not selected
  • 07B/1/032/01
HPP PW
  • Make sure that the 18th bit starting from the right is at 0
1 = PW engines selected
0 = PW engines not selected
     (b) If one of the previous check is not passed, perform a ground scanning of EIU and do the troubleshooting of the failures reported.
   (2) If you have to do a check of the EIU 2 internal configuration, do as follows:
NOTE: The actions and results of this procedure occur on MCDU you use.
     (a) On EIU 2 output bus, check:
ACTION
DEFINITION
RESULT
CONFIGURATION
1. On the center pedestal, on the SWITCHING panel 8VU, make sure that the EIS DMC selector-switch is set to NORM

2. Get access to the parameter call-up menus refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-008) and enter the following parameter label call-up command:

On MCDU:

  • 07B/2/032/10
HPP ENG1
  • Make sure that the 7th bit starting from the right is at 0
1 = Engine 1 selected
0 = Engine 1 not selected
  • 07B/2/032/10
HPP ENG2
  • Make sure that the 8th bit starting from the right is at 1
1 = Engine 2 selected
