   (1) On the left or right Multipurpose Control and Display Unit (MCDU), get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST ENG page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-012).
4. Procedure
NOTE: The current status of each Discrete Output (DSO) is updated every five seconds.
NOTE: When the Engine Interface Unit (EIU) is on the ground and receives the Discrete Inputs (DSIs) "Oil Low Press Switch" set to 1 from the dedicated engine, you can change the real status of any DSO.
NOTE: You can only change one DSO at a time, but you can change the 11 DSO one by one to get the configuration that is necessary.
NOTE: DSO return to their normal state when you exit the DISCRETE OUTPUTS menu.

1.Push the line key adjacent to the EIU1(EIU2) indication on the MCDU.
The EIU1(EIU2) menu comes into view.
2.Push the line key adjacent to the TESTS indication.
On the MENU page, the TEST menu comes into view.
3.Push the line key adjacent to the SPECIFIC DATA indication.
On the MENU page, the SPECIFIC DATA menu comes into view.
4.Push the line key adjacent to the DISCRETE OUTPUTS SIMUL indication.
The DISCRETE OUTPUTS SIMUL menu comes into view.
5.Push the line key adjacent to DISCRETE OUTPUTS P TYPE indication.
The DISCRETE OUTPUTS SIMUL (P TYPE: 28VDC/OPEN) menu comes into view.
On page 1:
  • APU BOOST CMD1
  • APU BOOST CMD2
  • OLP AND GND1
  • OLP AND GND2.
    On page 2:
  • LIGHT FAULT ON.

NOTE: When the DSO type P commands an electrical ground circuit, then the status displayed shall be 1.

When the DSO type P commands an electrical open circuit, then the status displayed shall be 0.

When the DSO type P is failed, then the status displayed shall be a dash (-).
6.On the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS menu page comes into view.

7.Stop the MCDU.

On the MENU page, the SPECIFIC DATA menu comes into view.
4.Push the line key adjacent to the DISCRETE OUTPUTS SIMUL indication.
The DISCRETE OUTPUTS SIMUL menu comes into view.
5.Push the line key adjacent to DISCRETE OUTPUTS N TYPE indication.
The DISCRETE OUTPUTS SIMUL (N TYPE: GND/OPEN) menu comes into view.
On page 1:
  • HPSOV CLOSED
  • N2 NOT BELOW IDLE
  • TLA IN T/O POS
  • PACK VLV CLOSURE.
    On page 2:
  • NAI P/B FAULT
  • SLAT EXTEND INHIB.
NOTE: When the DSO type N commands an electrical ground circuit, then the status displayed shall be 1.

When the DSO type N commands an electrical open circuit, then the status displayed shall be 0.

When the DSO type N is failed, then the status displayed shall be a dash (-).
6.On the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS menu page comes into view.

7.Stop the MCDU.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
