4. Procedure
Subtask 73-25-34-860-112-A
A. Check of the Part Number of the Operational Software Uploaded to the
EIU1(2).
   (1) On the left or right MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/ENG page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-012).
   (2) Push the line key adjacent to the ENG indication.
   (3) Push the line key adjacent to the EIU1(2) indication.
   (4) Push the line key adjacent to the LRU IDENTIFICATION indication.
     (a) The LRU IDENTIFICATION page comes into view.
     (b) The P/N given on this page is the operational software P/N.
1 If the EIU operational software P/N is in line with the expected aircraft configuration, check the EIU internal configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-860-813).
2 If the EIU operational software P/N is not in line with the expected aircraft configuration, go to Paragraph 4.B.
Subtask 73-25-34-860-113-A
B. Do the uploading of the operational software to the
EIU.
   (1) Prepare to upload:
     (a) Obtain the Media Disk for the EIU from the storage box in the cockpit.
     (b) Verify that the Media Disk corresponds to the aircraft configuration (according the airline configuration management).
NOTE: If the Media disk is not available, contact your airline engineering department to obtain the correct P/N applicable to the aircraft.
     (c) Make sure that the aircraft is not positioned on jacks.
     (d) Push the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch
  • The ON legend comes on.
   (2) Upload the software on EIU 1 and EIU 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 31-38-00-610-804).
   (3) After the uploading, do a long power cut on EIU (>10 seconds).
     (a) Open the circuit breakers that follow:
  • For Eng 1: 2KS1 and 4KS1. Refer to Paragraph 3.B. for their location
  • for Eng 2: 2KS2 and 4KS2. Refer to Paragraph 3.B. for their location.
     (b) Wait for more than 10 seconds.
     (c) Close the circuit breakers that follow:
  • For Eng 1: 2KS1 and 4KS1. Refer to Paragraph 3.B. for their location
  • for Eng 2: 2KS2 and 4KS2. Refer to Paragraph 3.B. for their location.
   (4) On EIU1 and 2, check the PN of the software uploaded.
     (a) Repeat Paragraph 4.A.
   (5) Check the EIU internal configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-860-813).
5. Close-up
