Subtask 73-25-34-941-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position.
Subtask 73-25-34-865-090-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

Subtask 73-25-34-860-098-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Check of the Part Number (P/N) of the Operational Software Uploaded to the Engine Interface Unit 1 (EIU1) (Engine Interface Unit 2 (EIU2))
(1) On the left or right Multipurpose Control and Display Unit (MCDU), get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/ENG page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-012).
(2) Push the line key adjacent to the ENG indication.
(3) Push the line key adjacent to the EIU 1(2) indication.
(4) Push the line key adjacent to the LRU IDENTIFICATION indication.
(a) The LRU IDENTIFICATION page comes into view.
(b) The P/N given on this page is the operational software P/N.
1 If the EIU operational software P/N is in line with the expected aircraft configuration, check the EIU internal configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-860-812).
2 If the EIU operational software P/N is not in line with the expected aircraft configuration, go to Para. 4.B.
Subtask 73-25-34-860-099-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the left or right Multipurpose Control and Display Unit (MCDU), get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/ENG page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-012).
(2) Push the line key adjacent to the ENG indication.
(3) Push the line key adjacent to the EIU 1(2) indication.
(4) Push the line key adjacent to the LRU IDENTIFICATION indication.
(a) The LRU IDENTIFICATION page comes into view.
(b) The P/N given on this page is the operational software P/N.
1 If the EIU operational software P/N is in line with the expected aircraft configuration, check the EIU internal configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-860-812).
2 If the EIU operational software P/N is not in line with the expected aircraft configuration, go to Para. 4.B.
B. Do the Uploading of the Operational Software to the Engine Interface Unit 1 (EIU1) (Engine Interface Unit 2 (EIU2))
(1) Prepare to upload the operational software:
(a) Get the media disk for the EIU from the stowage box in the cockpit.
(b) Make sure that the media disk agrees with the aircraft configuration (in relation to the Airline configuration management).
(d) Push the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch:
(3) After the uploading, do a long power cut on the EIU (more than 10 seconds).
(a) Open the circuit breakers that follow:
1 FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
2KS1 and 4KS1. Refer to Para. 3.B. for their location.
2 FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
2KS2 and 4KS2. Refer to Para. 3.B. for their location.
(b) Wait for more than 10 seconds.
(c) Close the circuit breakers that follow:
1 FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
2KS1 and 4KS1. Refer to Para. 3.B. for their location.
2 FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
2KS2 and 4KS2. Refer to Para. 3.B. for their location.
(4) On EIU1 and EIU2, do a check of the P/N of the uploaded software:
(a) Do the steps of Para. 4.A. again.
(5) Check the EIU internal configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-860-812).
5. Close-up(1) Prepare to upload the operational software:
(a) Get the media disk for the EIU from the stowage box in the cockpit.
(b) Make sure that the media disk agrees with the aircraft configuration (in relation to the Airline configuration management).
NOTE: If the media disk is not available, contact your Airline Engineering department to get the correct Part Number (P/N) applicable to the aircraft.
(c) Make sure that the aircraft is not on jacks. (d) Push the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch:
- The ON legend comes on.
(3) After the uploading, do a long power cut on the EIU (more than 10 seconds).
(a) Open the circuit breakers that follow:
1 FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
2KS1 and 4KS1. Refer to Para. 3.B. for their location.
2 FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
2KS2 and 4KS2. Refer to Para. 3.B. for their location.
(b) Wait for more than 10 seconds.
(c) Close the circuit breakers that follow:
1 FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
2KS1 and 4KS1. Refer to Para. 3.B. for their location.
2 FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
2KS2 and 4KS2. Refer to Para. 3.B. for their location.
(4) On EIU1 and EIU2, do a check of the P/N of the uploaded software:
(a) Do the steps of Para. 4.A. again.
(5) Check the EIU internal configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-860-812).

WARNING:
CLOSE THE PHC CIRCUIT BREAKERS 2DA1(2,3) BEFORE YOU CLOSE THE PROBE HEATER CIRCUIT-BREAKERS 1DA1(2), 3DA1(2,3), 4DA1(2,3) AND 5DA1(2,3). IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE, THE PROBES WILL BECOME TOO HOT. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Put the media disk back in the stowage box.
(3) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(1) Put the media disk back in the stowage box.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE SOFTWARE INSTALLED AGREES WITH THE AIRLINE CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT DOCUMENT. THE SYSTEM OPERATIONAL TEST OR BITE TEST DOES NOT DETECT INCORRECT SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION.
(2) Do the operational test of the EIU with the Centralized Fault Display System (CFDS) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-710-802). (3) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
- Push the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch (the ON legend goes off).
