A. Check of the Part Number (P/N) of the Operational Software Uploaded to the Engine Interface Unit 1 (EIU1) (Engine Interface Unit 2 (EIU2))
   (1) On the left or right Multipurpose Control and Display Unit (MCDU), get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/ENG page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-012).
   (2) Push the line key adjacent to the ENG indication.
   (3) Push the line key adjacent to the EIU 1(2) indication.
   (4) Push the line key adjacent to the LRU IDENTIFICATION indication.
     (a) The LRU IDENTIFICATION page comes into view.
     (b) The P/N given on this page is the operational software P/N.
1 If the EIU operational software P/N is in line with the expected aircraft configuration, check the EIU internal configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-860-812).
2 If the EIU operational software P/N is not in line with the expected aircraft configuration, go to Para. 4.B.
Subtask 73-25-34-860-099-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Do the Uploading of the Operational Software to the Engine Interface Unit 1 (EIU1) (Engine Interface Unit 2 (EIU2))
   (1) Prepare to upload the operational software:
     (a) Get the media disk for the EIU from the stowage box in the cockpit.
     (b) Make sure that the media disk agrees with the aircraft configuration (in relation to the Airline configuration management).
NOTE: If the media disk is not available, contact your Airline Engineering department to get the correct Part Number (P/N) applicable to the aircraft.
     (c) Make sure that the aircraft is not on jacks.
     (d) Push the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch:
  • The ON legend comes on.
   (2) Upload the operational software to EIU1 (EIU2) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-38-00-610-804).
   (3) After the uploading, do a long power cut on the EIU (more than 10 seconds).
     (a) Open the circuit breakers that follow:
       1 FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
2KS1 and 4KS1. Refer to Para. 3.B. for their location.
       2 FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
2KS2 and 4KS2. Refer to Para. 3.B. for their location.
     (b) Wait for more than 10 seconds.
     (c) Close the circuit breakers that follow:
       1 FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
2KS1 and 4KS1. Refer to Para. 3.B. for their location.
       2 FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
2KS2 and 4KS2. Refer to Para. 3.B. for their location.
   (4) On EIU1 and EIU2, do a check of the P/N of the uploaded software:
     (a) Do the steps of Para. 4.A. again.
   (5) Check the EIU internal configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-860-812).
5. Close-up
