B. Get Access
   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

D. Get Access
   (1) Open the right thrust reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 73-21-68-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of EEC Wiring Harness WC08
   (1) Removal of the protection covers:
CAUTION: REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
     (a) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine.
   (2) Find the harness (WC08) (1) attached to the right hand side of the engine core. See sheet 1 of the figure.
   (3) Remove the harness (WC08) (1) from the engine as follows. See sheets 1 thru 7 of the figure:
     (a) Disconnect the connectors of the harness (WC08) (1) from the engine with the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT as follows:
       1 Disconnect the connectors (P108) and (P109) from the harness (W04).
       2 Disconnect the connector (P25) from the High Pressure Compressor (HPC) Stator Vane Actuator (SVA).
       3 Disconnect the connector (P21) from the buffer air-valve solenoid.
       4 Disconnect the connector (P46) from the fuel flow divider.
       5 Disconnect the connector (P15) from the Integrated Fuel Pump and Control (IFPC).
       6 Disconnect the connector (P65) from the core temperature sensor.
       7 Disconnect the connector (P34) from the Fuel Filter Differential Pressure (FFDP) sensor.
       8 Disconnect the connector (P30) from the starter.
       9 Disconnect the connector (P26) from the Starter Air Control (SAC) valve.
       10 Disconnect the connector (P27) from the fuel flow transmitter.
       11 Disconnect the connector (P31) from the turbine Active Clearance Control (ACC) air valve.
     (b) Disengage the harness (WC08) (1) from the spring clips.
     (c) Remove the harness (WC08) (1) from the engine.
     (d) Remove the two bolts (2), the two bolts (3) and the bracket (4) from the two brackets and the harness (W04) bracket. See sheet 2 of the figure.
   (4) Installation of the protection covers:
CAUTION: INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
     (a) Make sure that you install all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine.
