Removal of the EEC Wiring Harness (WF02)
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE AFTER SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE CAN STAY HOT FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:
DO NOT BEND OR TWIST THE HARNESS TOO MUCH. IF YOU DO, DAMAGE TO THE HARNESS CAN OCCUR.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring and to stop the electrical supply to the Electronic Engine Control (EEC)
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-832).
(2) On maintenance panel 80VU:
(a) Make sure that ON legend on the SVCE INTERPHONE OVRD pushbutton switch is off.

(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-832).
(2) On maintenance panel 80VU:
(a) Make sure that ON legend on the SVCE INTERPHONE OVRD pushbutton switch is off.

WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PROBE HEATER AND WINDOW HEATER CIRCUIT-BREAKERS ARE OPEN BEFORE YOU OPEN THE PHC AND WHC CIRCUIT BREAKERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE:
- THE PROBES WILL BECOME TOO HOT.
- THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
OPEN CIRCUIT BREAKERS 2KS1 AND 2KS2 AFTER YOU OPEN THE IGNITION CIRCUIT BREAKERS. IF YOU DO NOT, THE CONTINUOUS IGNITION SYSTEM WILL BE ACTIVATED.

D. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
Subtask 73-21-62-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the EEC Wiring Harness WF02
(2) Remove the harness (WF02) (1) from the engine as follows:
(a) Disconnect the harness (WF02) connectors from the engine with the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT as follows:
1 Disconnect the connector (P79) from the interphone jack.
2 Disconnect the connector (P402) from the pylon.
3 Disconnect the connector (P406) from the pylon.
4 Disconnect the harness (WF01) connector (P103) from the harness (WF02) (1).
5 Disconnect the harness (W04) connector (P102) from the harness (WF02) (1).
6 Disconnect the connector (P122) from the T2 probe harness.
7 Disconnect the connector (P1) from the EEC.
8 Disconnect the connector (P9) from the Prognostics and Health Management Unit (PHMU).
(b) Remove the four bolts (2) and the harness (WF02) (1) from the bracket.
(c) Remove the harness (WF02) (1) from the spring clips.
(d) Remove the harness (WF02) (1) from the engine.
(3) Installation of the protection covers
CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(1) Find the harness (WF02) (1) attached to the right hand side of the fan case. (2) Remove the harness (WF02) (1) from the engine as follows:
(a) Disconnect the harness (WF02) connectors from the engine with the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT as follows:
1 Disconnect the connector (P79) from the interphone jack.
2 Disconnect the connector (P402) from the pylon.
3 Disconnect the connector (P406) from the pylon.
4 Disconnect the harness (WF01) connector (P103) from the harness (WF02) (1).
5 Disconnect the harness (W04) connector (P102) from the harness (WF02) (1).
6 Disconnect the connector (P122) from the T2 probe harness.
7 Disconnect the connector (P1) from the EEC.
8 Disconnect the connector (P9) from the Prognostics and Health Management Unit (PHMU).
(b) Remove the four bolts (2) and the harness (WF02) (1) from the bracket.
(c) Remove the harness (WF02) (1) from the spring clips.
(d) Remove the harness (WF02) (1) from the engine.
(3) Installation of the protection covers
CAUTION:
INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(a) Make sure that you install COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent engine damage.
