YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access
(1) Open the right thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

4. Procedure(1) Open the right thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

A. Inspection of the Fuel Filter Element for Contamination
(2) Visually inspect the fuel filter element for signs of damage or a large quantity of contamination.
(3) If you see any contamination, collect it in a piece of clean Lint-Free Cotton Cloth (P05-005) and put it in the bag with the filter.
(a) Make a record of the aircraft tail number, engine serial number, and date
(b) Send the filter to the shop for analysis.
(4) If the filter is damaged or has large quantities of contamination, visually inspect the fuel distribution system for contamination (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-00-210-805).
(6) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.
5. Close-upCAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(1) Remove the fuel filter element (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-06-000-801). (2) Visually inspect the fuel filter element for signs of damage or a large quantity of contamination.
(3) If you see any contamination, collect it in a piece of clean Lint-Free Cotton Cloth (P05-005) and put it in the bag with the filter.
(a) Make a record of the aircraft tail number, engine serial number, and date
(b) Send the filter to the shop for analysis.
(4) If the filter is damaged or has large quantities of contamination, visually inspect the fuel distribution system for contamination (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-00-210-805).
NOTE: Large quantities of contamination can be an indication of problems which could need more troubleshooting.
(5) If the fuel filter element does not have contamination or damage, install the fuel filter element (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-06-400-801). (6) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.
