CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 73-11-00-210-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Do a General Visual Inspection (GVI) of the fuel distribution system as follows. See the Table 601 and the figures
and
   (1) Examine the fuel supply tubes, manifolds, hydraulic fuel pressure and return tubes.
   (2) Examine the fuel pressure tube (FH01) for clearance and chafing with the igniter cable. If the clearance is not in the specified limits, adjust the cable length through the spring clips to make more clearance with the tube.

EXAMINE
DAMAGE
DISPOSITION
Fuel system tubes
Cracks
Not permitted.

Nicks, scratches, chafing and pitting
0.002 in. (0.05 mm) maximum depth permitted in all locations.

Dents (without sharp edges or corners).
Permitted if the tubing Outside Diameter (OD) is not decreased by more than ten percent at each location. No dents permitted in 0.250 in. (6.35 mm) or less from the ferrule.

Dents (with sharp edges or corners).
Not permitted.

Pits or voids in the brazing or welding.
Not permitted. Replace the tube as necessary.

Loose connections or external leaks.
Not permitted. Tighten or replace the tube as necessary.
Fuel system tubes, clamps and brackets
Worn or cracked clamp.
Not permitted. Replace the clamp.

Loose hardware (unsecured clamps, cushion detached from the cushion clamp, loose fittings/B-nut, etc.).
NOTE: Some fuel nozzle inlet threaded lengths are longer than others. Therefore, some fuel nozzles can have more threads that show than others. This condition is acceptable.
Not permitted.
Fuel manifold B-nuts at fuel nozzles
Flaking coke build up.
Not permitted. Replace as necessary.

Cracks or dents.
Not permitted.
Fuel pressure tube (FH01)
Chafing
Visual indications of chafing between the tube (FH01) and igniter cable are not permitted.

Clearance
The clearance between the tube (FH01) sections with no support and the igniter cable must be a minimum of 0.12 in. (3.05 mm).
   (3) Do a visual inspection of the fuel system components for external fuel leaks and correct installation as follows:
     (a) No external fuel leakage is permitted.
     (b) No loosely attached components are permitted.
NOTE: Some fuel nozzle inlet threaded lengths are longer than others. Therefore, some fuel nozzles can have more threads that show than others. This condition is acceptable.
     (c) Make all corrections as necessary.
   (4) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.
5. Close-up
Subtask 73-11-00-410-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
