Subtask 72-23-00-941-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

B. Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position at the front of the engine.

(1) Remove the spinner front cone (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-00-000-001).
(2) Remove the spinner rear cone (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-00-000-002).
Subtask 72-23-00-010-076-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the spinner front cone (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-00-000-001).
(2) Remove the spinner rear cone (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-00-000-002).
D. Remove 3 consecutive fan blades (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-00-000-003).
4. ProcedureNOTE: To compensate for imbalance caused by the removal of 3 blades, it is recommended to remove 3 blades 180 degrees opposed to those previously removed.
Subtask 72-23-00-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Remove the Mid Acoustical Panels as follows:
CAUTION:
IF YOU USE A PNEUMATIC OR ELECTRICAL SCREWDRIVER TO UNTORQUE AND LOOSEN ALL ACOUSTICAL PANEL SCREWS, MAKE SURE THAT THE SCREWDRIVER SPEED IS NOT MORE THAN 200 RPM. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ACOUSTICAL PANEL.
(1) Remove the screws (100) which attach the mid acoustical panels (110). NOTE: If one screw is found untorqued, it must be discarded and replaced for re-installation.
(2) Disengage panel from case and remove.
