Removal and Installation of the Fan Outlet Guide VaneSubtask 72-23-00-941-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 72-23-00-010-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.

A. Removal of the Fan Outlet Guide Vane and/or Seal
PRE SB 72-097 (aluminum OGV)
(1) Remove the 4 plugs (30) with the 856A2795 PULLER,PLUGS-OGV (P01).
(2) Remove the 4 bolts (40) which attach the 2 lateral outer fairings (50).
POST SB 72-097 (composite OGV)
(3) Remove the 2 plugs (30) with the 856A2795 PULLER,PLUGS-OGV (P01).
(4) Remove the 2 bolts (40) and washers (45) which attach the OGV outer platform.

PRE SB 72-097 (aluminum OGV)
(5) Remove the 2 lateral outer fairings (50).
POST SB 72-097 (composite OGV)

(7) Lower the OGV (10) inner platform down into the aft fairing recess.
(8) Move the OGV (10) outer platform rearward at an angle, disengage the outer platform and remove the vane.

(9) Lower the OGV (10) inner platform down into the OGV support aft fairing recess (see arrow circled one).
(10) Move the OGV (10) outer platform forward at an angle (see arrow circled two)
disengage the outer platform from the fan case and remove the composite OGV.

(11) Remove the OGV seal (20).

(9) Lower the OGV (10) inner platform down into the OGV support aft fairing recess (see arrow circled one).
(10) Move the OGV (10) outer platform forward at an angle (see arrow circled two)
disengage the outer platform from the fan case and remove the composite OGV.

(11) Remove the OGV seal (20).
