A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
4. Procedure(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.

CAUTION:
DO NOT CLEAN TITANIUM PARTS WITH COMPOUNDS WHICH CONTAIN HALOGEN. HALOGEN DECREASES THE STRENGTH OF TITANIUM.
A. Full Visual Inspection of the Fan Blades (Removed from Fan Disk) NOTE: The removal of the fan blades is necessary to do a full inspection of these blades (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-00-000-003).
NOTE: If pairs of fan blades are not available as spare for replacement (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-00-300-026), you can replace only one blade (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-00-300-027) with a difference between the moment weight of the blade removed and its opposite that is no more than 800 cm.g (315 in.g). Also, you must do the inspections and corrections given in the replacement procedure with the above procedure to make sure that the engine vibration is not more than the limits. This also makes better the operation of the engine.
