Subtask 71-73-49-860-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access

A. Installation of the Thrust Rear Frame (TRF) Drain Tube
(1) Remove the protective covers from the TFR drain nipple and the drain tube (25).
(2) Put the clamp (20) on the drain tube (25).
(3) Connect the drain tube (25) to the TFR drain nipple. Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(4) Make sure that the TFR drain tube (25) has a clearance of approximately 0.08 in. (2.03 mm) to the exhaust nozzle.
(5) Make sure that the drain tube (25) is in the correct position on the engine.
(6) Attach the clamp (20) to the bracket with the bolt (5), the washer (10) and the nut (15).
(7) TORQUE the nut (15) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )

(8) TORQUE the drain tube coupling nut.

5. Close-up(1) Remove the protective covers from the TFR drain nipple and the drain tube (25).
(2) Put the clamp (20) on the drain tube (25).
(3) Connect the drain tube (25) to the TFR drain nipple. Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(4) Make sure that the TFR drain tube (25) has a clearance of approximately 0.08 in. (2.03 mm) to the exhaust nozzle.
(5) Make sure that the drain tube (25) is in the correct position on the engine.
(6) Attach the clamp (20) to the bracket with the bolt (5), the washer (10) and the nut (15).
(7) TORQUE the nut (15) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
. (8) TORQUE the drain tube coupling nut.
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE FITTINGS WHEN YOU LOOSEN/TIGHTEN THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE TUBES.
(a) TORQUE the drain tube (25) coupling nut to between 315 and 300 lbf.in (3.56 and 3.39 m.daN )

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-040).
