Subtask 71-73-49-941-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
   (1) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

4. Procedure
Subtask 71-73-49-020-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Oil Tank Drain Hose
   (1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the oil tank drain hose (25) to catch any oil remaining in the hose.
   (2) If necessary, remove the bolts (10) and the clamps (5) that attach the oil tank drain tube (20) to the fan case channel.
   (3) Disconnect the drain hose (25) from the drain tube (20) and let the fluid drain into the container.
   (4) Disconnect the drain hose (25) from the fitting in oil tank drain.
   (5) Remove the drain hose (25) from the engine.
   (6) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the oil tank drain fitting, the drain tube (20) and the drain hose (25).
   (7) Remove the container from below the oil tank drain hose (25).

B. Removal of the Oil Tank Drain Tube
   (1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain mast to catch any oil remaining in the tube.
   (2) Disconnect the drain tube (20) from the drain manifold module and let the fluid drain into the container.
   (3) Remove the bolts (10), the nuts (15) and the clamps (5) that attach the oil tank drain tube (20) to the fan case channel.
   (4) Remove the bolt (10), the nut (15) and the clamp (5) that attach the drain tube (20) to the fan case bracket.
   (5) Remove the bolt (10), the nut (15) and the clamp (5) that attach the drain tube (20) to the clamp on the fan case drain tube.
   (6) Disconnect the drain hose (25) from the drain tube (20).
   (7) Remove the oil tank drain tube (20) from the engine.
   (8) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the drain manifold module, the drain tube (20) and the drain hose (25).
   (9) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
