3. Job Set-up
Subtask 71-71-41-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

4. Procedure
Subtask 71-71-41-640-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Lubricate the packings (20) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .

B. Installation of the Drain Module
(1) Remove the protective covers from the drain tubes and the drain module (10) ports.
(2) Install the drain module (10) on the brackets with the bolts (5), the washers (20) and the nuts (15).
(3) TORQUE the nuts (15) to between 70 and 50 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.57 m.daN )

(4) Connect the manifold air, hydraulic pad, Integrated Drive Generator (IDG) pad and start pad tubes to the forward end of the drain module (10).
(5) Connect the oil-hydraulic reservoir and fuel reservoir tubes to the right side of the drain module (10).
(6) Connect the reservoir tube to the aft end of the drain module (10).
(7) Torque the nuts:

CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE FITTINGS WHEN YOU LOOSEN/TIGHTEN THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE TUBES.

(a) TORQUE the drain tubes coupling nuts to between 315 and 300 lbf.in (3.56 and 3.39 m.daN )

(b) Remove fluids that may have collected around the drain module and tubes with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):

(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
