A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-71-41-010-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:

B. Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

A. Removal of the Drain Module
(1) Put the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the drain module (10).
(2) Open the manual bleed valves and let the fluids drain into the container.
(3) Disconnect the manifold air, hydraulic pad, Integrated Drive Generator (IDG) pad, and start pad tubes from the forward end of the drain module (10).
(4) Disconnect the oil-hydraulic reservoir and fuel reservoir tubes from the right side of the drain module (10).
(5) Disconnect the reservoir tube from the aft end of the drain module (10).
(6) Remove the bolts (5), the washers (20) and the nuts (15) from the brackets.
(7) Remove the drain module (10) from the engine.
(8) Install COVER - PROTECTION on the drain tubes and the module (10) ports.
(1) Put the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the drain module (10).
(2) Open the manual bleed valves and let the fluids drain into the container.

(4) Disconnect the oil-hydraulic reservoir and fuel reservoir tubes from the right side of the drain module (10).
(5) Disconnect the reservoir tube from the aft end of the drain module (10).

(7) Remove the drain module (10) from the engine.
(8) Install COVER - PROTECTION on the drain tubes and the module (10) ports.
