Subtask 71-52-43-860-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons that both thrust reverser control lever are not operational.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-52-43-865-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:

Subtask 71-52-43-020-056-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Channel B Fire Detector Harness Assembly (4205KS)
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector 454VC-A from the core junction box.
(2) Remove the two bolts (5) and open the two clamps (10) that attach the harnesses to the pylon. Remove the harness 4205KS from the clamps. Install the bolt (5) and tighten it with your hand.
(3) Remove the bolt (15) and open the clamp (20) that attaches the harness assemblies to the bracket at station 233. Remove harness 4205KS from the clamp. Install the bolt (15) and tighten it with your hand.
(4) Remove the bolt (15) and open the clamp (25), attached to the bracket at station 233, and remove the harness 4205KS.
(5) Remove the three bolts (15) and the three clamps (30) that attach the harness 4205KS to the brackets at station 239.
(6) Cut the lockwire and remove the the screws (60) and the clamp (55) that attach the harness 4205KS to the fire detector element 4001WD2-A.
(7) Remove the nut (45) that attaches the wire (50) to terminal A of the fire detector.
(8) Remove the nut (75) that attaches the wire (70) to terminal C of the fire detector.
(9) Remove the nut (95), the washers (90), the lockwasher (85), and the bolt (80) that attach the ground wire (65) to the bracket.
(10) Remove the harness assembly 4205KS from the engine.
(11) Put CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connectors.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector 454VC-A from the core junction box.
(2) Remove the two bolts (5) and open the two clamps (10) that attach the harnesses to the pylon. Remove the harness 4205KS from the clamps. Install the bolt (5) and tighten it with your hand.
(3) Remove the bolt (15) and open the clamp (20) that attaches the harness assemblies to the bracket at station 233. Remove harness 4205KS from the clamp. Install the bolt (15) and tighten it with your hand.
(4) Remove the bolt (15) and open the clamp (25), attached to the bracket at station 233, and remove the harness 4205KS.
(5) Remove the three bolts (15) and the three clamps (30) that attach the harness 4205KS to the brackets at station 239.
(6) Cut the lockwire and remove the the screws (60) and the clamp (55) that attach the harness 4205KS to the fire detector element 4001WD2-A.
(7) Remove the nut (45) that attaches the wire (50) to terminal A of the fire detector.
(8) Remove the nut (75) that attaches the wire (70) to terminal C of the fire detector.
(9) Remove the nut (95), the washers (90), the lockwasher (85), and the bolt (80) that attach the ground wire (65) to the bracket.
(10) Remove the harness assembly 4205KS from the engine.
(11) Put CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connectors.
