A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 71-51-43-420-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the IDG Control and Anti-Ice Harness
For the recommended procedure for the installation of the wire harness (Ref. AMM TASK 70-60-00-910-041).
NOTE: To tighten the flip-lock clamps and line blocks, you can turn the captive screws or captive bolts 1/4 turn clockwise to engage the cam nuts.
   (1) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION from the electrical connectors.
   (2) Put the electrical harness (5) in position on the engine.
   (3) Connect the electrical connectors 401VC-A, 404VC-A and 405VC-A to the pylon junction box.
   (4) Connect the electrical connector 4005VC-A to the connector on the left harness at flange station 174.

   (5) Put the harness (5) into the flip-lock clamps (10), (20), (25) and (55).
   (6) Put the harness (5) into the rubber supports of the line blocks (15), (30) and (35). Put the rubber supports in the line blocks.

   (7) Put the harness (5) into the rubber supports of the line block (40). Put the rubber support into the line block.

   (8) Put the clamp (50) on the harness (5). Use the bolt (45) to attach the clamps (50) and (75) to the bracket at flange station 167.

   (9) Make sure that the harness (5) is correctly installed on the engine.
   (10) Close the line blocks (15), (30), (35) and if installed the line block (40) and tighten the captive screws.
   (11) Tighten the captive bolts on the flip-lock clamps (10), (20), (25) and (55).

   (12) Put the harness (5) into the flip-lock clamps (10).
   (13) Put the bolts and clamps (17) and (27), and the bolts, clamps and anti-rotation lugs (32) on the harness (5) and attach the harness to the engine brackets:
     (a) Do not torque the bolts at this time.
   (14) Put the bolts and clamps (57), and the bolts, clamps and anti-rotation lugs (59) on the harness (5) and attach the harness to the engine brackets:
     (a) Do not torque the bolts at this time.
   (15) Put the bolts and clamps (22) on the harness (5) and attach the harness to the engine brackets:
     (a) Do not torque the bolts at this time.
   (16) Put the harness (5) into the rubber supports of the line block (35) at the flange station 158. Put the rubber supports in the line blocks.

   (17) Put the harness (5) into the rubber supports of the line block (40). Put the rubber supports in the line blocks.

   (18) Put the clamps (50) on the harness (5). Use the bolt (45) to attach the clamps (50) and (75) to the bracket at flange station 167.

   (19) Make sure that the harness (5) is correctly installed on the engine.
   (20) Close the line blocks (35) and if installed, line block (40) and tighten the captive screws.
   (21) Tighten the captive bolts on the flip-lock clamps (10).
   (22) TORQUE the bolts (17), (22), (27), (32), (57) and (59) to between 30 and 25 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.28 m.daN ) T.

   (23) As required, tie the ground wires together with fiberglass tie tape to prevent cross wires. See the sheet 3 of the figure:
   (24) Connect the ground wires to the ground studs with the nuts (60), the lockwashers (65) and the washers (70).

   (25) Connect the electrical connectors 4000XU-A, 4000XU-B and 4000XU-C to the IDG.
NOTE: The wire harness for connectors 4000XU-A and 4000XU-B may touch as shown on the figure.
   (26) Connect the electrical connector 4000DN-A to the anti-ice valve.
   (27) Connect the electrical connector 4001VC-A to the interphone jack disconnect on the aft bulkhead of the inlet cowl.
   (28) Make sure that the harness (5) is correctly installed on the engine.
   (29) Examine the harness installation and make sure that all the flip-lock clamps and line blocks are installed correctly.

   (30) Apply the tape:
CAUTION: IF THE TWO HARNESSES TOUCH, YOU MUST WIND THEM WITH TAPE (CP2740). IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE HARNESSES CAN OCCUR.
     (a) Wind CP2740tape, hi temp on the two harnesses in the areas shown:
       1 Wind the tape so that each wind overlaps the last wind by half the width of the tape.
   (31) Apply the tape:
CAUTION: YOU MUST WIND THE TWO HARNESSES WITH TAPE (CP2740) AND ATTACH THE HARNESSES TOGETHER WITH TYING TAPE (CP5085). IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE HARNESSES CAN OCCUR.
     (a) Wind CP2740tape, hi temp on the two harnesses in the areas shown:
       1 Wind the tape so that each wind overlaps the last wind by half the width of the tape.
     (b) Attach the two harnesses together with CP5085tape, tying, glass fiber:
       1 Make a clove hitch tie around the two harnesses and pull tight with a firm steady pull.
       2 Make a square knot with an extra loop to finish the tie.

   (1) Do the EIS start procedure (for the lower display of the ECAM system only). (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (2) Pressurize the aircraft pneumatic system with a GROUND AIR-SUPPLY UNIT(HIGH PRESSURE) or through the APU.

E. Do this test
   (1) Start the engine. Let it become stable at the idle speed. (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-003).
   (2) On the ECAM control panel, get the ELEC page. On the lower display unit of the ECAM system:
     (a) make sure that the voltage and frequency are correct.
   (3) Stop the engine. (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-028).
