A. Installation of the Generator Power Harness
NOTE: For the recommended procedure for the installation of the wire harness (Ref. AMM TASK 70-60-00-910-041)>.
   (1) Remove the protective covers from the electrical connectors on the harness (5) and the pylon junction box.
   (2) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Do not clean the contacts with abrasive material.
   (4) Put the electrical harness (5) in position on the engine.
   (5) Connect the electrical connector 400VC-A to the pylon junction box.
     (a) Tighten the connector by hand until the colored marking is visible in the lock display (window).
   (6) Put the harness (5) into the clamps (10). Make sure that the harness is correctly installed on the engine.
   (7) Tighten the captive screws 1/4 turn clockwise to engage the cam nuts.
   (8) Clean the mating surfaces:
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
     (a) Clean the mating surfaces of the ground cable terminals and the bracket with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (9) Attach the harness cables (5) to the bracket with the bolt (30), lockwasher (15), washer (25) and nut (20). Remove the tags.
   (10) TORQUE the nut (20) to between 110 and 95 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.07 m.daN ) T.
   (11) Attach the harness cables (50), (55), (60) and (65) to the IDG terminals with the locknuts (35).
   (12) TORQUE the locknuts (35) to between 168 and 144 lbf.in (1.90 and 1.63 m.daN )
T.
   (13) Install the cover (75) on the IDG terminal with the CFMI supplied screws (70).
   (14) TORQUE the screws (70) to between 22 and 20 lbf.in (0.25 and 0.23 m.daN )
T.
   (15) Do an electrical bond resistance check as follows:
NOTE: The electrical bond resistance procedure that follows is applicable for the electrical harness ground cables.
   (16) Put one lead of the OHMMETER MULTIRANGE on the ground cable terminal near the bolt (30).
   (17) Put the other lead of the ohmmeter on the top surface of the bracket.
   (18) The resistance measured between the ohmmeter leads must not be more than 0.001 ohm.
   (19) If the resistance is more than 0.001 ohm, remove the applicable hardware and clean the mating surfaces again. Do this procedure until the resistance is less than 0.001 ohm.
