A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 71-51-43-420-062-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Fire Detector (Channel B) Harness
NOTE: For the recommended procedure for the installation of the wire harness (Ref. AMM TASK 70-60-00-910-041).
NOTE: To tighten the flip-lock clamps and line blocks, turn the captive screws or captive bolts 1/4 turn clockwise to engage the cam nuts.
   (1) Remove the protective covers from the electrical connectors.
   (2) Put the electrical harness (5) in position on the engine.
   (3) Connect the electrical connector 409VC-A to the pylon junction box.
   (4) Put the harness (5) into the rubber supports of the line blocks (10) and the flip-lock clamp (15) on the top RH side of the engine.
   (5) Make sure that the harness (5) is correctly installed on the engine.
   (6) Tighten the flip-lock clamp (15) captive screw.
   (7) Put the rubber supports in the line blocks (10). Close the line blocks and tighten the captive bolts.

   (8) Put the harness (5) into the rubber supports of the line blocks (10), (20) and (25) near the top LH side of the engine.
   (9) Put the rubber supports in the line blocks (10) at station 174, line block (20) at station 176 and line block (25) at station 185.
   (10) Make sure that the harness (5) is correctly installed on the engine.
   (11) Close the line blocks (10), (20) and (25) and tighten the captive bolts.
   (12) Put the harness (5) into the flip-lock clamps (30) and the rubber support of the line block (35) at station 191.
   (13) If removed, put the rubber support in the line block (35).
   (14) Close the line block (35) and tighten the captive bolt.
   (15) Tighten the captive screws on the flip-lock clamps (30).
   (16) Put the harness (5) into the rubber supports of the two line blocks (35) at station 191 and station 199.

   (17) If removed, put the rubber supports in the line blocks (35) and (50).
   (18) Make sure that the harness (5) is correctly installed on the engine.
   (19) Close the line blocks (35) and (50) and tighten the captive bolts.
   (20) Put the harness (5) into the rubber supports of the line blocks (10) near the top LH side of the engine.
   (21) Put the rubber supports in the line blocks (10) at station 174.
   (22) Make sure that the harness (5) is correctly installed on the engine.
   (23) Close the line blocks (10) and tighten the captive bolts.
   (24) Install the bolt and clamps (22) that attach the harness (5) at station 176.
   (25) Install the bolt and clamps (27) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 185.
   (26) Install the nuts, bolts and clamps (32) that attach the harness (5) to the brackets at station 191.
   (27) Install the harness (5) into the flip-lock clamp (30) at station 191 and tighten the captive bolt.
   (28) Install the bolt and clamps (37) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 191.
   (29) Install the bolt, clamps and anti-rotation lug (38) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 199.
   (30) Put the clamp (85) on the harness (5). Attach the clamp (85) to the bracket at station 199 with the bolt (70), the washer (75), and the nut (80).
   (31) Put the clamp (85) on the harness (5). Attach the clamp (85) to the bracket at station 191 and station 199 with the bolt (90).
   (32) Make sure that the harness (5) is correctly installed on the engine.

   (33) Put the clamps (55) on the harness (5). Attach the clamps to the brackets at station 199 with the bolts (40).
   (34) Put the clamp (55) on the harness (5). Attach the clamp to the bracket on tube flange with the bolt (40).
   (35) Put the clamp (55) on the harness (5). Attach the clamp to the bracket at fuel control flange with the bolt (40).
   (36) Put the clamp (55) on the harness (5). Attach the clamp to the bracket on gearbox with the bolts (40) and nut (65).
   (37) TORQUE the bolts (40) and (60) and the nut (65) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN ) T.
   (38) Connect the electrical connector 4000WD2-A to the fire detector loop B.
   (39) Examine the harness installation and make sure that the flip-lock clamps and the line blocks are installed correctly.

   (40) Applying of the tape.
CAUTION: YOU MUST WIND THE TWO HARNESSES WITH TAPE (CP 2739) IF THEY TOUCH. IF YOU DO NOT WIND THE HARNESSES WITH TAPE IT CAN DAMAGE THE HARNESSES.
     (a) Wind the tape (Material No.
CP2739) on the two harnesses in the areas shown.
       1 Wind the tape so that each wind overlaps the last wind by half the width of the tape.
