A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is OFF. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.
Subtask 71-51-43-010-076-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

A. Installation of the Fire Detector (Channel A) Harness
(2) Put the electrical harness (5) in position on the engine.
(3) Connect the electrical connector 408VC-A to the pylon junction box.

(4) Put the harness (5) into the rubber supports of the line blocks (10).
(5) If removed, put the rubber supports in the line blocks (10).
(6) Make sure that the harness (5) is correctly installed on the engine.
(7) Close the line blocks (10) and tighten the captive bolts.

(8) Put the harness (5) into the rubber supports of the line blocks (10) and (15) near the top left side of the engine.

(9) If removed, put the rubber supports in the line blocks (10) at station 174 and line block (15) at station 167.
(10) Make sure that the harness (5) is correctly installed on the engine.
(11) Close the line blocks (10) and (15) and tighten the captive bolts.
(12) Put the harness (5) into the rubber supports of the line blocks (20) and (25) at station 158.
(13) If removed, put the rubber supports in the line blocks (20) and (25).
(14) Close the line blocks (20) and (25) and tighten the captive bolts.
(15) Put the harness (5) into the rubber supports of the line blocks (15) and (25) at station 158.

(16) If removed, put the rubber supports in the line blocks (15) and (25).
(17) Make sure that the harness (5) is correctly installed on the engine.
(18) Close the line blocks (15) and (25) and tighten the captive bolts.
(19) Put the harness (5) in the flip-lock clamp (30) at station 167 and tighten the captive screw.

(21) If removed, put the rubber supports in the line blocks (10).
(22) Make sure that the harness (5) is correctly installed on the engine.
(23) Close the line block (10) and tighten the captive bolts.
(24) Install the bolt, clamps and anti-rotation lug (17) at station 167.
(25) Install the bolts, clamps and anti-rotation lugs (22) attached to the brackets at station 158.
(26) Put the harness (5) into the rubber supports of the line blocks (15) and (25) at station 158.

(27) If removed, put the rubber supports in the line blocks (15) and (25).
(28) Make sure that the harness (5) is correctly installed on the engine.
(29) Close the line blocks (15) and (25) and tighten the captive bolts.
(30) Install the bolt, clamps and anti-rotation lug (27) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 158.
(31) Install the bolt and clamp (32) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 167.
(32) TORQUE the bolts (17), (22), (27) and (32) to between 30 and 25 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.28 m.daN )

(33) Connect the electrical connector 4000WD1-A to the fire detector loop A.
(34) Examine the harness installation and make sure that the flip-lock clamps and the line blocks are installed correctly.

(35) Apply the tape.
1 Wind the tape so that each wind overlaps the last wind by half the width of the tape.

NOTE: To tighten the flip-lock clamps and line blocks, turn the captive screws or captive bolts 1/4 turn clockwise to engage the cam nuts.
(1) Remove the protective covers from the electrical connectors. (2) Put the electrical harness (5) in position on the engine.
(3) Connect the electrical connector 408VC-A to the pylon junction box.

(26) Put the harness (5) into the rubber supports of the line blocks (15) and (25) at station 158.

(29) Close the line blocks (15) and (25) and tighten the captive bolts.
(30) Install the bolt, clamps and anti-rotation lug (27) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 158.
(31) Install the bolt and clamp (32) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 167.
(32) TORQUE the bolts (17), (22), (27) and (32) to between 30 and 25 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.28 m.daN )

(33) Connect the electrical connector 4000WD1-A to the fire detector loop A.
(34) Examine the harness installation and make sure that the flip-lock clamps and the line blocks are installed correctly.

(35) Apply the tape.
CAUTION:
YOU MUST WIND THE TWO HARNESSES WITH TAPE (CP 2739) IF THEY TOUCH. IF YOU DO NOT WIND THE HARNESSES WITH TAPE IT CAN DAMAGE THE HARNESSES.
(a) Wind the tape (Material No.CP2739) on the two harnesses in the areas shown. 1 Wind the tape so that each wind overlaps the last wind by half the width of the tape.
